John 14:27
'Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

'
Bill felt it was a no-win situation. If he dieted, he felt lousy because he was hungry all the time. If he broke his diet, he felt guilty. It was hard to tell which was worse, the hunger or the guilt. He wanted to trim down, but he loved to eat. He never knew that he'd suffer through so much turmoil just trying to lose weight. Diets can really stir us up. They make us feel physically and emotionally strained. During periods of dieting, we need to find peace of mind and heart. Ask God for that peace. He promises to deliver it to those who ask Him for it. When we need it most, God gladly gives it.

Today's thought: Better to have peace of mind than a piece of cake!
That devotion really hits home, especially when it comes to the struggle of dieting. It's easy to get caught up in the stress and guilt of it all, but finding peace within can make a huge difference. Instead of focusing on the hunger or guilt, leaning on faith and asking for peace can provide the strength needed to push through.

I'm back. I have been back in the hospital. I was delusional. I don't remember the ambulance coming to pick me up or the ride to the hospital or being delivered to the hospital. I do remember being in the ER and then being moved to a room. I think this was Thursday. I remember my Doctor coming one day but she was off Saturday and Sunday. I got to come home yesterday. My goal is to stay out of the hospital until surgery on the 30th. I may not be around much until after surgery.
Both of my siblings want me to go to assisted living after surgery and i think its time to do so as well.
our 5 year old starts kindergarten today. She will be riding the bus. Both her parents saw that she got on the bus this morning. She was excited but her little brother was unhappy. He's going to the babysitter by himself today.

I'm thinking of starting to lose weight. I want to start dieting and exercising. I fully understand that it takes a lot of time and that is why I found https://canadianwritings.com/ for help with my studies. I need a good night's sleep, home-cooked healthy meals and going to the gym. It is difficult to combine a healthy life, study and work, but I think I will succeed

Hi all! Welcome Emily! Nettnett, glad you’re out of the hospital. My dad was in an assisted living facility. He liked it there. He got along very well with the staff and the residents. 😁🏫😷🚸

Luke 10:41-42
And Jesus answered and said unto her, 'Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

'
Angie brought home a new diet book each week. She had a closet full of exercisers guaranteed to take off pounds and inches. She had a cabinet full of pills, powders, and liquids bearing promises of miraculous weight loss. Cindy just shook her head. Why go to all the trouble? Losing weight wasn't going to come from anywhere except from inside the person who wanted to lose it. Desire was the main ingredient. It was too easy to get caught up in fads and fancy claims. A quiet determination to lose weight was what was really important. Angie lost a few pounds, while Cindy lost many.

Today's thought: It's hard to lose weight when you have a fat head!

2 Timothy 2:21
If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

Gary couldn't believe what he was hearing. He hadn't been selected for the mission because he was just a few pounds overweight. Harrison was trimmer, but that didn't mean he was any better as a pilot. How could they turn him down because of a few pounds? Often being fit is determined by how trim and slim we are. It may not be fair, but it shows the value that is put on keeping in shape. God wants us to be in shape so we can enjoy this life we have been given to the fullest. He intends that we should always be ready to experience all that life has to offer. We can only do that when we take proper care of ourselves.

Today's thought: I am making myself fit for life!
