We get the equinox in September -- a great time to seek out a balance that includes exercise.
State your exercise goal and track it throughout the month with this supportive group of fellow exercisers. We'll compile our workout goals into a list. As each goal is met during the month, it gets turned RED in celebration.
This thread is for fitness and exercise goals. For other weight loss goals, be sure to see our sister thread: September Weight Loss Challenge
Ok, so August was NOT my month to get started on strength training. But I'm about 90% healed up now (just have to be a bit careful with my wrist still, so no pushups just yet). But I'm going to try for the exact same goals as last month, since last month got derailed. I'm feeling really good about September. I think it is going to be my month.
I'm setting two goals:
1. Walk 80 miles. This is not incidental miles walked throughout the day, but purposeful "go for a walk" miles. Hubby and I walk at least 2 miles nearly every day, with some longer walks mixed in, so this shouldn't be hard to reach. I did pretty well on this in August, but didn't track it at all. But I'd say I was probably pretty close to this goal.
2. Strength training and stretching. I decided to set this for 500 minutes. I wasn't even a little close to this in August. I did a few sessions, then broke my wrist and had bruises all over my knees, legs, hands, so didn't do anything more. I have been doing some wrist therapy the last week, so I maybe hit a total of 100 minutes for the whole month, maybe.
So I'm 0/80; 0/500 and am ready to kick butt this month.
Tabbycat here.
Well, between being out of town three times, and going back to school, August was a flop!
Onward, then, without looking back!
My goal for September will be 500 minutes of intentional exercise.

The week from the 1st to the 10th is always rough for me to get much in, so I knew I'd be lighter this week. I just want to stick with it and I'll pick up the pace a bit next week. I'm trying to at least do my wrist physical therapy, some squats, leg lifts and stretching each day. I missed yesterday, but back at it again today.
