    This is a similar thread for owning September.

    What will you focus on to be successful in September?

    I am going to drink water
    Eat On Plan
    And get moving on some type of exercise program - no matter how little.

    How about you?
  • My goal for september is to be in total control of my weight.
    I also want to drink more water,
    Exercise 4x a week,
    and get at least 50 miles walked / run.
  • Im going to drink more water, NO more binges this month, and keep up the exercise
  • Ooo i like this one...umm...
    Drink my 2 litres of water a day
    Get some form of physical activity for half an hour every day.
    Control my portion sizes
    Aimed to half lost 7lbs by this time next month...i could go on
  • Welcome Viatre, Iconised Ghost and Dark Angel Jade. Wow! It looks like a lot of our goals for September are the same. Let's go! I'm refilling my water glass now.
  • They are pretty similar. I really need to stick by these - I lost twenty pounds this summer but I've already gained ten of them back! Ah!
  • Oh! I dig these types of threads. This September, I plan to:

    1) Drink 100 ounces of water.
    2) Go to the gym at least 4 days a week.
    3) Lose 5 pounds.
    4) Finish 50% of my law school applications!

    My goals:

    Keep on track with my 5 day a wk am workout plan
    Get back to counting calories (I've been slacking)
    Get butter and cheese out of my house
    Take good care of myself

    This is helping my motivation already!

    Drink lots of water
    Walk at least 5 days a week
    Keep counting calories
    Not worry so much about the number on the scale, but how I feel!

  • i am going to loose 6lbs this month....
    and try and stay on plan for more days than i am off....
    exercise daily....
    and take a walk at lunch time when it is not raining of chaos at work!....
  • I'm going to get back OP eating-wise -- which means really counting those calories not just 'guesstimating' like I've been doing these past several weeks. And I've already stepped the exercise up a notch. Got my strength workout, a power yoga dvd and a 1.5 mile (done in 25 minutes) dogwalk in by noon today. Yippee!!
  • I'd like to join! I usually stick to challenge threads, but maybe I need to keep up with lots of people/threads to really keep me motivated!

    The obstacles in my life: working midnights! Odd shifts, odd sleeping hours, with a family (DS Robert-8 and DD Rachel-4, hubby Mike) running around, errands, school, makes it challenging to find time to exercise. But right now, our bowling league started on Saturday nights, and that is bad for drinking! Draft beer by the pitcher, shots with the girls....the drinking throws my work for the week out the window. Plus it takes til about Monday or Tuesday to get back on track.

    My September goals will be:
    -Lose 8 pounds...two a week
    -gym 3-5 days a week, I know some weeks it's less, some it's more
    -eating OP, especially cooking/packing meals at home, money is TIGHT right now, need to stop eating out, even if it is just Subway
    -I do drink my water well, 3-5 liters a day, the higher end if I work that night
    -Keep posting here, and reading all over this site
    -attitude, attitude, attitude. Try out some patience with the kids, the job, the husband.
