Sorry I haven’t posted!

It’s been CRAZY busy lately, AND this past week I’ve been sick!  I’m afraid this week’s results will be a complete washout, but I did in fact lose 2.2lbs last week and am down to 201.  At least, until I weigh-in on Sunday (tomorrow)…

I have a solution to the lack of time and sleep - I’ve been able to rent a room in Amsterdam!  So during the week I will be able to sleep in an extra 2 hours (6.30 rise instead of 4.30), leave work on time, go to the gym, make it “home” at a decent hour, cook dinner, chill out, bed at a decent hour.  It’s not an ideal situation, but it will help in the interim.  When I first made the commitment to do it, to try it for one month, it suddenly dawned on me that I will not see my love during the week at all and that made me feel VERY emotional.  I don’t want to live apart from Ron, I LOVE being with him, laughing with him, cuddling up at night and falling asleep in each other’s arms… so this is very sad for me (and him) to give that up for a little while.

I have some distractions to keep me going though…  I want to focus on ME, take care of myself and have plenty of quality time with him on the weekends (and the kids, when they are here) instead of being the zombie that I am on Saturdays, finally getting re-energized on Sunday only to have to turn around and do it all over again.  Next week I start my stay in Amsterdam on Monday evening, but I already go back on Thursday after work - on Friday we leave for Manchester (UK) for the weekend!  The week after that I most likely will go to Duesseldorf (DE) for the week for training, the week after that we have a concert to go to on Thursday (19th) and Friday I’m off.  Then it’s end of the month again (I work in finance) and shortly after that I have two weeks vacation (3 weeks in total with the kids and Ron has all 3 weeks off).  So… lots of stuff coming up and it will go quickly :)

Still shooting for my 10% by the end of June.  It’s so close I can TASTE it (and it’s very low in points *wink* )!  3 lbs to go.

The Amsterdam stay-over sounds like I good plan, I hope that works out for you! You have a busy month full of cool things ahead, enjoy!

I saw your posts on the whole foods section of the forums and clicked through to your blog.

I’m surprised I haven’t come across your blog before because you’ve been blogging for a long time.

Sounds like we’ve got a LOT in common - I’m close to the same age as you (late 30’s), I’m from the West (Colorado) and I’m an expat in Europe (France). I came here for work but stayed for love - we got married a year ago.

I’ll be back to check on your progress - you’ve done SUPER so far!!!
