Another Mediocre week Not Allowed

Posted by: velveteen In: Thoughts| Tracking

I weighed in on Saturday - no change.

Which is good actually, right?  I mean, staying the same is much better than gaining.

But staying the same is the same old story.  Week after week.  Month after month.  Sometimes I get a surprise up OR down.  But basically, I’m sticking to 95KG like glue here.

There are a few things that just have to stop::
1) Pizza - seriously, do I really think I can trick myself by still eating pizza (a whole, small pizza, worth minimum 14 points) every week???

2) Wine - though I have definitely cut back, the amount still needs to be halved in my opinion. It’s time for some tough love with my boyfriend and if he still wants to drink wine then it’s time for some tough love with myself.

3) Panicking about the gym - Really. There is nothing to be afraid of. Get off your ASS and go.

4) Being lazy - I exercise every day. In my mind anyway. If I don’t cycle to work I NEED to make up for the lack of movement when I get home.

These are not really difficult things. I just need to do it. Stop making excuses. Stop being so damned afraid. Stop being lazy. I will never even break 95 if I don’t make these changes.

Great to see you back! Your food plan looks great today! Get some exercise in there too and you are on your way to losing! Your goals are doable too.
You can even keep the pizza if you make it yourself. I have pizza every week, but make it at home where I can eat 1/4 of the veggie pizza for 9 pts, which fits into my eating for the day. I can post a recipe if it would help you out…
Talk to your man about making wine a special thing that you can enjoy together in moderation, I am sure he will be supportive. If wine has been your escape, try to make exercise your escape instead - it can keep you feeling better longer, and help you lose weight! I’ll go for my long run tonight if you will head to the gym today. Deal?

I know you can have a superior week this week, and I will support you along the way!

Pizza are the spawn of Satan. Seriously. It’s so hard in my book to give those up. So far, I’ve been sort of ‘cheating’ by making them myself on pita bread (two halves = 2 small pizzas ;)) with simple tomato juice, mushrooms, veggies, whatever. It’s still not the perfect dinner, but even though I don’t know what it’d be in terms of WW points, at least it doesn’t turn the meal into a 600-calories fest.

Exercizing when going back from work is indeed hard. :( I manage to take walks in the evenings on such days, but not much more, so I know the pain. I hope you’ll find something that will help in that regard. As for the gym, well… that’s another story, I guess.
