Better Now

Posted by: velveteen In: Exercise| Thoughts| Tracking

Wow, what a great support network :)  I posted a thread on the support forum in addition to my post here in my blog and I am really overwhelmed with a feeling of caring right now.  I want to thank you all for being here!  So… THANK YOU!

Things are better today. Yesterday I wasn’t feeling that great. Not physically or emotionally. I have this thing about not wanting to leave the house. I developed this during the breakdown period. This is one of the reasons I don’t get my ass to the gym, even though I’m totally ok once I’m there.

I went out on the bike and it immediately started raining (there was no indication before I went out, that it would rain). It wasn’t too bad though and I got into town, parked my bike and did the few errands I needed to do (pick up a contact lens, get a gift for R for father’s day - I had a €50 gift certificate that I hadn’t used yet). Went back to get my bike, headed off and … the heaven’s opened up again. It was so bad I had to wait under a bridge with a bunch of other cyclists until it stopped! I did go a different route though, so see what my options were to add a few more minutes of exercise during the week.

Food wasn’t too bad yesterday, but I didn’t really track. I didn’t have any fruit either, but I drank tons of water.

Today::
B - 3 Wasa’s (1½), a home-made hummous gone wrong (but still tasty) (2)

L - sandwich on a brown pistolet (2), Old Amsterdam Cheese (3), salami (1), chicken (1), Yofresh (½) and sambal*

D - chicken (3), veggies with olive oil (1), couscous (4)

Snacks - 1 nectarine

Water:: On my 2nd litre now
Hey! Not bad! 19 points

It’s father’s day and the kids are here so I probably won’t work out until later.

What I already arranged for tomorrow:

For breakfast I’m going to make shredded potatoes (2) with two eggwhites (½)
I’ve prepared some veggies:: mushrooms, onions, red/green/yellow bell peppers, 2 green olives*
olive oil (2)

Snack - NF triple shot tall cappo (1)
100% juice smoothie*
apple, nectarine

Lunch - spinach and chicken salad
spinach, smoked chicken (2), 100g couscous (2), tomatoes, dressing (½)

Snack - strawberries with 125g Greek FF yoghurt (1)
another cappo (1)
celery sticks

Dinner - 9 points left for dinner

You amaze me! Even with all the crap that you are dealing with, you are still taking time not only to continue to make healthy choices for yourself, but you are also taking the time to reach out and help others. It means a lot to be supported, and I hope that I can continue to help you in the same ways your support is helping me! Your food plan looks great for today, delicious, balanced, and on plan. Keep it up! Your health is one thing you have complete control over. You’re doing great!

You’re welcome! And I’m glad to see you’re feeling better. :) I’ve found this place to be of great support in times of self-doubt and other problems, even if only by reading posts rather than starting a discussion or participating, but it’s really a good thing that it could cheer you up (if I maye use that expression here).

(And I don’t know if you like doing these things, so I hope it’s okay, but… here’s a tag for you. :))
