What a Day!

Posted by: velveteen In: NSV| Numbers| Tracking

Wow, today was VERY stressful.  I was extremely busy at work and had the feeling when I left that I got nothing done.  I just started my new job on March 1st and I do love it… I love the company, most of my colleagues, the atmosphere, it’s all good.  But, yes, it CAN be stressful.

I woke up a bit late so I didn’t have the chance to do the dishes like I wanted to this morning, but I was able to throw in a load of laundry and set it to be ready after I got home.  I’m going to Bilbao (Spain) tomorrow for the weekend - the One I Love has been there all week (well, with exception of Monday when he missed his flight and had to stay over in Paris) and I’m joining him for the weekend.  There’s the trigger… I know I’m going away and I don’t like leaving loose ends.  I work in the finance department and next week is the Big Week for us as it’s month end.  I was already thinking about all the things I wanted to do today in the back of my head.

There wasn’t a lot of food in the house but I managed to scrape up enough healthy goodies to take with me.  Once I arrived at my final destination’s train station I bought an apple, some carrots, and some lovely roma cherry tomatoes.  NSV points for me :)

The day was so messy though time-wise.  There were meetings and interruptions.  I asked my boss if I could skip the special lunch meeting that was planned with 2 of our partners visiting from Turkey and Kuwait.  It didn’t really help me much, but then again, no temptations to deal with.

After lunch I was a bit stressed.  I got the idea in my head that I really needed a Frappuccino :D  Of course after I thought about it, I realised I didn’t really need it.  NSV points for me!

Here are some numbers for today :)
Cycled 20 minutes to work
walked up 120 steps to get to the secure bike stalls
walked up 50 steps up to get to top station area (you can take the lift, but that’s not what I do)
Then walked down 33 steps to get to the train platform
Cycled 20 minutes back home (actually a wee bit more but I am only counting 20 min because I am not sure how much more)
First I had to walk up the 33 stairs again to pick up my bike and then back down the 50 to get to the 120 steps after I picked up my bike.

Looking back, if I had known the mayo was so much I wouldn’t have chosen it. Good to have the info now!

Since I’m going to Bilbao tomorrow, I won’t be posting~ but that doesn’t mean that it’s a license to eat the poor Spainards out of house and home.
