Twenty-One Week Weigh-in
Well, the scale is not cooperating this Monday morning, I have to say! I was down over a pound yesterday, but this morning I bounced back up to 149! Drats. Ah well. For the first time in 21 weeks I’ll be recording a gain (even if it is a tiny one) for a weekly weigh-in. I’m not too freaked out as I have been mentally preparing myself for a bumpier ride the closer I got to goal, but I won’t lie, it’s a bit of a bummer that the scale had to bounce up on a Monday morning. Couldn’t it have waited for Tuesday? Anyway, this week I am 149, which is a +.2 gain for the week and puts me -58.8 pounds down over 21 weeks.
It is too soon to make any sort of changes to my meal planning, I guess, though my knee-jerk mental response is to lower calories. There really is nothing else for me to change. I’m happy with my exercise plan, I’m happy with my food choices, I’m happy with water intake, etc. The only thing to tweak would be calories and I don’t think I’m quite prepared to lower them just yet. But it is a possibility going foward, so I’ll keep an open mind.
My progress pictures show that things are going just fine, so I think I need to heed the advice I’ve given to so many others and not let the scale be the only judge of my progress. ![]()
My scale called your scale. They’re fucking with us. Don’t let it bring you down. Stupid scales.
Hi Josephine,
Please… please don’t let that small gain bother you.
Somehow I found your journal toward the end of July. I read every single word you’ve posted on your blog. Every page. You inspired me so much that I decided to *attack* my weight problem. I’m not taking cheat days. I’m not going to permit myself to take even one bite of unplanned, unhealthy food.
It’s only day 11 for me. But, I think it’s the longest I’ve ever stuck to the plan. I feel great. I’m eating better and more than I ever have. I’m sponging up the learning. I’m exercising every single day. So far I haven’t, but I think I’m going to have to take a rest day soon just because I actually think I may be overworking just a little.
Anyway, I’m this post isn’t about me, its for you. Your progress is amazing. The scales will reflect this again soon!
Beth
Your progress is far more than that number on the scale. My weight changes throughout the DAY! By looking at your photos it’s evident that what you are doing is WORKING! You look amazing! Keep up the good work!
Your progress pictures are proof enough that numbers on the scale isn’t the most important. You are an athlete now and no scale can ever take that away from you!
Hey there! I’m not even the slightest bit worries about your “gain”, its probably just a bit of water you didnt pee out or something! (haha sorry, was that gross?)
So i had the yves vegan bologna in my sandwhich today! not half bad!!
secondly, just curious, you mentioned that you arent considering lowering your calories yet, and i was just wondering how many calories, in general you eat per day?
keep on trucking skinny chick!
you’re skinny now. you lucky duck. stop focusing on the numbers so much, and start enjoying your life!
