so, i made it through the first day of “the plan”, which is basically just eating a lot better, and being more aware of what I’m doing. it went ok; i was pretty hungry, but my cycle is up this week, so i expected it. I came in under 2000 cal, which is a first in a loooong time. so i’ll take it.

my nutritionist gave me a plan. i’m excited to get started. also, i’m starting ballet soon. w00t!

well, being out of NY seems to be good for my desire to go outside. I love walking around here in Boston, and we plan on doing even more today! I’m so happy that the weather is nice. And we’re so close to the actual city, that walking is an adventure. Plus, I spent about an hour in the pool yesterday with the kids. Heated, you know. It was great.

Also, I finally stopped procrastinating and signed up for the adult ballet class i had been looking at. now, I just need to get the equiptment for it, and some self-esteem to get over being in a leotard.

Countdown

I have seven weeks until my second dress fitting. I hope it’s too loose! My goal is to lose 10lbs by then, or one dress size. I can do it!

One day before

our trip to Boston is tomorrow. I’m excited about it. I hope that I can eat well while I’m there.

So the nutritionist yesterday went ok. She encuoraged me to eat better, and I’m seeing her next week in order to set up a plan. I am planning on doing my best.

a step in a new direction…

Tuesday I have an appointment with a nutritionist. I hope that she and I together can make a plan I can finally stick to and live with. I need this, and I’m pretty excited.

I feel really good today… I have a lot of energy, so I think that working out will be easier….

Ballroom dancing went well last night. I like it, although I need to wear more comfortable shoes…

And, I made a doctor’s appointment for Friday. I’m on a whole grain, low car roll!

slow going…

right now, i’m just trying to get myself into enough of a routine so that exercise and eating well just come easy. I almost didn’t update my page today, cause it seemed like too much work. but, i figured that if i’m going to be committed to this, i should just do it.

Day 1

So, it’s all about baby steps, I guess. I’m going to try hard for the rest of the week not to pig out, and to eat 2 servings of vegetables a day. Also, start exercising SLOWLY. Today is upper body. 10-15 minutes is good, because going full blast always backfires on me.

I guess I should set some goals:

short term: week 1: 2 veggies a day, no more than 2 carbs (good ones) per day, exercise minimum 60 minutes per week.

Long term: Be a size 14 by september, for the wedding I’m going to be in.
