MOVIE NIGHT!

My DSL was out, but I’m back. Went for a run, took a bath and am now heading back to the Doc Marten’s warehouse sale (woot!). But I will be watching the movie this afternoon and totally ready to chat this evening/tonight about it with you fab chicks.
Big Prof set up the chat room but I have not been able to take a minute to even look at it. What time do we want to do this? I’m on the Pacific coast, and later is better as far as i am concerned with not having kids under foot, etc.
Link to the chat room is in the comment big prof left on another post, so I’ll search it out and repost it here when I get back from the sale to end all sales.
Yay! I hope to be infused by the spirit of the marathon : )
Food log catch up

Movie update, inasmuch as there is a movie update, is the last post before this one!
I wrote this in a word document while I had no service and hopefully can just copy/paste it here now!
So my food log. Let’s see. Friday, we’ll start there.
Breakfast: granola bar
Lunch: salad with grilled chicken, chips and salsa, 1/3 of a slice of carrot cake
Dinner: went to happy hour and had one margarita and four beers (seriously, I drank all that). H.H. munchies split by hubby and I were chicken satay, chicken wings, salad rolls and fried tofu.
10k training: Schedule was 2.5 miles. I didn’t do it. I decided to make it a rest day and play catch up.
Other exercise: None.
Saturday food.
Breakfast: whole wheat bagel with peanut butter
Lunch: JC burrito, 100 cal bag of Mr. Salty’s, mocha from S’bucks and a diet coke, not all at the same time
Dinner: church dinner. Had one glass of red wine, antipasto platter, salad, two dinner rolls, pork roast, steamed veggies and cream cheese garlic mashed potatoes which were DIVINE, also had cheesecake for dessert
10k training: today was scheduled rest day, but I had to do a make up of a 2.5 mile run from yesterday, which I did, which was uneventful. I went early this morning and it was nice to work the cobwebs out of my hungover head
Other exercise: got none.

Hello sister chicks. I have had two days of complete insanity, topped up with loss of DSL into the house. Just got it restored right this minute and the first thing I did was check in here!
I have not been able to download the movie because I had no net, so I am going to do that tonight. I have time to watch it tomorrow. But we need Big Prof to do the chat room set up, unless someone else knows how to do that? I have no idea how to do that. I think she was going to be out of touch tomorrow if I remember properly, and she was going to set it up for us and leave the info.
Just checked your blog, Big Prof, and don’t see any mention of it, so if you get a chance to do that, let me know how we can proceed tomorrow, and we’ll be eager for you to get back home and join us!

Size 10 jeans and tears in my eyes

Yep. Size 10. Bought three pairs today. I am flying high on that.
Also, when I went into the department store with my nine-year-old daughter in tow to try on jeans, we entered at the “fitness clothes” section and had to walk through that section to get to the jeans, and she says “Mom, you should just buy your clothes in the sporty section,” indicating running pants and jog bras and the like. “That’s the kind of stuff you wear.”
And I felt inordinantly proud that that is how my daughter sees me, as a sporty, fitness-y type mom. Proud that when she saw the fitness and sports clothing, she sees that as “my style.” Silly, but in that moment it just really hit me that I am NOT the same person I was a year ago and I am so thankful for the changes in my lifestyle over the the last year. I literally teared up a little bit walking through the store thinking about it.

Weight: 139.0, woot!woot!
Breakfast: 1/2 a whole wheat bagel w/peanut butter
Lunch: OK, shut up. I went to Popeye’s (I was right next door, what was I supposed to do? Just NOT go? Please.) I did exercise EXTREME self control and I had a six-pc. nugget with coleslaw and a diet coke. And a biscuit. Oh, yeah, baby, the biscuit. Bring it home to momma.
Dinner: tba UPDATE: McD’s happy meal, chese burger w/ diet coke. Not even the mighty kid meal but the regular old dinky ass happy meal. WAH. Dessert was a peanut butter granola bar
10k training: scheduled is 3 mile run. It is noon, the sun is shining and I am going for my run RIGHT NOW! UPDATE: I went, I ran. I had to go through three busy intersections each way, and made it through five of them with no stops. It was a miracle. But when I was almost home, the last busy street to cross, I caught the red light and had to stop. I did not regain my momentum after that and so my last two blocks I walked instead of ran. So my actual run-run was shy of three miles, but my total outing was 3.2 miles and I had no walk breaks until the end.
Other exercise: goal: plank for 1 minute 15 seconds UPDATE: I made it one minute and I THOUGHT It had been a minute 15 but I was not timing it properly and I quit, and after I quit realized it had only been a minute. Again, can I say WAH.
Wednesday

Weight: 140.0 — which is surprising because I hardly ate at all yesterday and thought it would have dipped a little. But, I also got no exercise.
MOVIE UPDATE: Looks like our chat will be Sunday evening/night, time TBA. Any time is good for me. I will probably watch the movie Friday night as I have a dinner to go to Saturday night, soccer Saturday during the day and we’re taking DD9 and her four cousins (all younger than her!) to see James and the Giant Peach at the children’s theatre. I think I may be bringing a flask : )
Breakfast: oatmeal, water
Lunch: tba but so far it is looking like mexican food because I am meeting friends UPDATE: I had two steak tacos, no cheese, no chips, and a diet coke.
Snack: granola bar
Dinner: tba UPDATE: pasta with shrimp and mushroom, salad, Mr. Salty’s 100-cal bag for dessert.
10k training: since I skipped yesterday, I am just pushing my three short runs in a row over by a day, so day was scheduled 2.5 and I ran 2.5 on the treadmill at the gym. Then walked .5 for a 3 mile total.
Other exercise: did my 50 push ups and 50 sit ups. I think I may do some plank time later today. We’ll see.

Lunch: tba UPDATE: small cup of JC fat free soup and a 100 cal bag of Mr Salty’s
Snack: A granola bar
Dinner: tba UPDATE: JC Turkey burger, JC cheetos and a big glass of water
10k training: scheduled-2.5 mile run. It is wet out, I will probably do it at the gym on the TM and shoot for some speed intervals. UPDATE: didn’t go, got too busy with work and then when I was finally able to go (8 pm) my indigestion was enough to knock me out.
Other exercise: scheduled-50 pushups and situps UPDATE: didn’t do it, same excuse as above. Plus check my other blog for my work related to excuse.
But seriously, this indigestion? Is freaking killing me. Any suggestions for over the counter help?

Why is everything giving me indigestion these last few days? Seriously, I have been burping and feeling bloated and stomach-achey since Saturday. WTF?
