You’re killing me with this boot camp thing b/c I just know it’s the kick in the butt I need right now, but…gee wiz, boot camp?
Okay, kale…disclaimer: I’m only just now learning about greens. Even though I grew up in the south, mom was more likely to make a corned beef & cabbage than a mess of greens. But if you look at the nutritional info, they’re amazing for you & so low in calories they practically rival water for lowest calorie count (okay, mild exaggeration).
Anywho, I used to just remove the stems, rough chop the leaves, and toss them into whatever soup I was making that week. Now I remove the stems, fine chop the leaves, and boil the heck out of them…butter, salt & pepper. But you can also sautee them in olive oil. You’re looking for them to be about as soft as cooked spinach. I’ve only tried kale & beet greens, but I’m going to start working my way through the greens family this month.
& that has been a cooking moment with bigprof…who needs to quit stalling & get running!

Honestly tiny2b, I don’t know how ya do it! Here a blog there a blog, boot camp and all the family stuff ya do, biking and the gym, too! And now a lazy man challenge thing, which I’d like to sign up for by the way, figuring it out, plus ya ran a 5k! Topped it all off with a 5 miler! Who are you? WHO WHO WHO!
Ya really impressed me with the 5 mile run. I know what a struggle it is to get over that hump! Guess I’d better get my butt over to the sign up place. A week of camping time to make up for after. Ahhh nothing to it. Here’s your good weather vibes coming over the airwaves…is the sun shining there? Happy camping wheeeeee!
