Couch to 5k!!
I have been doing really good with my exercise this week. My friend, P and I went on a mile walk on Monday and then today I started my couch to 5k workouts!! I am excited about the challenge. Here’s what I am doing:
The C25K (couch to 5k) is a training workout to get someone from being a couch potatoe (obviously) to running a 5k in 9 weeks. This is to fast for me but what I am going to try and do is turn the week program into a month program!! 9 months and I hope to be able to sign up for a 5k in town!!! I am starting now so my October will be a little short of a month but that’s OK. I don’t know how possible this challenge is but I am going to give it what I got!
October Schedule : 3 Days a week
5 min warm up walk
20 mins alternating with 60 sec jog and 90 sec walk
One day down and I didn’t die!

Hey! The couch to 5k plan is wonderful. I don’t know if you posted the thread on the 3fc website, but someone did yesterday and I commented there too. I did this plan about 2 years ago and loved it. Let me tell you…I am NOT a runner, but the way they set up the plan made it enjoyable and actually do-able. You mentioned that you’re going to spread it out into a 9 month plan. That sounds good, but you might find that you’re capable of more than you think. I did the weekly workout 5x a week rather than 3x and found that doing it that way I could follow on a weekly basis. I never thought I would be able to run 3 miles, but I did. Can’t anymore, but I DID. So anyways, good luck!
