I have really been waiting for this weigh-in day and it did NOT dissapoint! I went down 5.5lbs this week, bringing my total to 37.5lbs….woohoo!! It makes me feel proud of myself and it helps to push me forward to think about another week. I would LOOOOOVE to lose 50lbs by christmas, that would be awesome! I have 5 weeks to lose 12.5lbs and if I continue to work out and eat right, that should be no problem!!

It’s been 2 weeks since I posted and that’s because I got very discouraged with WW. I was sick of counting points, having to think about everything I put in my mouth, get to the gym, drink enough water, get enough sleep…….uuggghhh!!!! So I took a few days off and relaxed. I didn’t go to the gym, I ate fast food and I loved it. NOT! I felt aweful everyday I missed the gym, everytime I ate Taco Bell and while it was definitely easier, I felt bad. After only a few days, I gained .5lbs. Yuck! We got back on plan on Monday and I ate my points and worked out this week. I got on the scale this morning for weigh in day not knowing what to expect and I lost 3.5lbs! That made me hit my first goal of 32lbs!!!!!!! It gives me the mind set of knowing that I can make it over these speed bumps in the road to my goal of 160lbs. It might be hard work but if a 32lb goal makes me this happy, I can’t imagine how I’ll feel when I hit my all time goal! Go Me!

I had a rocky start to my week. Saturday was really hard for me to count my points but I did the best I could. It helped to have all my flex points and then a 2 hour workout on Sunday! Also, Monday and Tuesday I worked 12-16hr days and never got to the gym. However, I stayed in my points and worked out hard the rest of the week and it paid off! Down 3 more pounds!! Woo hoo!! Only 3lbs til my first goal! I can’t believe how great I feel after I workout, or the fact that I feel gross on the days I can’t get to the gym. My Aunt (who is also doing WW) said she feels like a day without exersice is a day without sunshine! I’m beginning to feel the same way.

I got on the scale today and lost 4.5lbs!!!  Yeah!!! I knew I had a great week with food and exercise!   I am always happy to see the scale go down but usually I tell myself it will only be 1lb at a time, so I loved this today!

I have a problem…..I’m hungry and I have no points left and weigh in is tomorrow!  I guess my real problem is, am I really hungry or am I used to watching T.V. while shoving food in my mouth?  That I don’t know.  I really don’t want to undo all the work I did this week at the gym.  I feel a nice number will be on the scale tomorrow but one can never know!

Another GREAT workout with H and P!!  We have plans for 2 more days this week and I can’t wait.  I never thought that I would actually enjoy going to the gym!!

Well I had to UP my exercise goal for October! I had a ticker for 250 mins in Oct. and yesterday I went over that. It’s only Oct. 13th!!!!! I switched to 600 min and am hoping I have to boost that one up too. I under estimated myself and it feels good to know I CAN do more than even I think!

 We went to the Y yesterday for the first time and HOLY MOLY……I have never had such a GREAT workout!  We all worked out together for this first visit so we could kinda get a feel for the place.  The good thing about the gym is you can workout right next to your partners and yet do things completely at your own level unlike just going for a walk with someone.  We all walked on the treadmill for 30 mins, then moved over to the bikes. (the ones where you sit back and your legs go out in front of you, it’s better for your knees, or so they say)  We only lasted 10 mins on those and moved over to the cross trainers for another 10 mins.  We all were sweating like pigs, it was great!  We are heading over there again after my Mom’s Birthday lunch.  Today H and P are going to do the treadmill with me and then head to the pool for laps.  I’m not sure what I will move to but no pool, that’s for sure, give me another 50lbs before I put a bathing suit on in public.  YIKES!! 



YMCA!!!

I am VERY excited today!  I’m going to go use my new membership at the YMCA!  My sister, best friend and I all applied for the financial assistance program at the Y by our house and were approved.  I can’t wait.  We got such a good deal I can’t stand it!  This gym is only 8 mins from our houses and has everything we need, including a pool with classes for people with arthritis.  My sister has very bad arthritis and this is going to help her be able to workout much more and with less pain.  I mean a little bit of pain means you got a good workout but pain so bad you can’t walk to a day or two, not really a good idea when you are trying to lose weight and get healthy.  I’m just really excited to know that I will be able to get in some good workouts in the winter.  It’s really hard for me to workout at home.  If I come home from work and am thinking, “When I get home I am going to do a 20 min WO DVD”  I just come home and see other things I could be doing, cleaning the house(watching tv), being on the computer…..you get the idea.  So to know that I can get out of work, hit the gym and then come home is AWESOME!!!!!!  Plus the equipment there cost more than my car, so that makes things even easier.  We are going today after P and I walk in the StepOut: Walk to Cure Diabetes this morning to get H signed and GET TO WORKIN’!

Ohhhhh P.S.  I lost another 1.5lbs this week at weight in!



Couch to 5k!!

        I have been doing really good with my exercise this week.  My friend, P and I went on a mile walk on Monday and then today I started my couch to 5k workouts!!  I am excited about the challenge.  Here’s what I am doing: 

   The C25K (couch to 5k) is a training workout to get someone from being a couch potatoe (obviously) to running a 5k in 9 weeks.  This is to fast for me but what I am going to try and do is turn the week program into a month program!!  9 months and I hope to be able to sign up for a 5k in town!!!  I am starting now so my October will be a little short of a month but that’s OK.  I don’t know how possible this challenge is but I am going to give it what I got!

October Schedule :  3 Days a week
                                5 min warm up walk
                               20 mins alternating with 60 sec jog and 90 sec walk

     One day down and I didn’t die!
