No, it’s not Dog Hair Hiku, it’s the reality of my house.
As sure as the leaves are beginning to change, our doggie is beginning to shed. He sheds all the time any way ~ don’t know why he isn’t bald ~ but its begun in earnest now. The dryer lint filter now has a blackish tint to it, from all the hair collected on socks. Yuck! When I brush him outside, mounds of black hair pile at his side. Next dog: Labrapoodle ~ no shedding!
Bess I getter dry mop daily now. I’ll count it as “exercise”.
Son’s first football game is tomorrow. I need to get a Football for Dummies book, as I’ll be darned if I can remember all the positions. He was playing “left guard” and I had that figured out, then the coach gave him a new position he is all excited about because there is ball handling involved. Now what was that position called…?
Did well over the weekend, food-wise. The fam got a hankering for Chinese food and I ordered steamed shrimp & veggies with the sauce on the side. It satisfied me.
I’ve been carrying my gym bag around in my car for a week now. Maybe today I’ll stop in. Stupid cold is still lingering a bit but I feel much better. Has anyone ever tried that product called “Zicam, a nasal cold remedy that acts to shorten the duration of the cold itself”? I looked at it but put it back on the shelf when I saw it was $11.00. I’ll buy it for the next cold though if anyone thinks it works.
Let’s make it a good week, Chicklets!
4:00 Here’s a blatant plug for Reynolds food saving vacuum bags. I had about 2 cups of apples left over from last Saturdays pie baking orgy. I put ‘em in a Reynolds bag and sucked the air out and this afternoon my husband and I just noshed on crisp, un-brown apple slices. I changed the batteries on the air-sucker-upper-thingie and it works like a champ again. I love America…
Oh, and I also worked up the courage to use a sinus rinsing device. It wasn’t as scary as I thought it would be ~ not the water boarding experience I anticipated! It was kinda weird feeling but I can handle weird if it helps my fricken’ sinuses.
