Day 9: STRESS,STRESS, and more STRESS….GRRRRRRR!!!

So, I will start by saying that I hope my manager dies a horrible death, or at least goes away to another store and takes his bad karma with him!……..anyway……I ate only applebees today (starting to see a pattern here. HMM….), but it was ok, because I went to lunch with my friend at around 1:00, and ordered a hamburger w/fries and diet coke and ate half of that. Our waitress was really nice, too so that made me happy……oh and I smoked a cigarette beforehand to (shame on me)……..then my friend and I walked a mile and 1/2 at this nature trail/track thing. I might do my crazy dancing tonight too…….so after work (which was fine until my boss thought he’d start acting like a menopausal woman and ,with his “short man complex” trying to act like everyone around him are idiots and he’s so superior because he grew his muscles so huge….which is actually disgusting! not to mention that he looks disproportionate…anyway, enough of that)……….I ate the other half of my meal ( but added mayo this time….:( ) eh, it’s all good…….

So, before I went to work: 5 chicken nuggets and 10 tater tots w/ honey mustard, BBQ sauce and ketchup (you gotta look out for those sauces though: I never realized how fattening they can be). Then, at work, I ate half of a small box of animal crackers and some crystal light (NOTE TO SELF: raspberry flavored CL is NASTY!). This would have been an okay day, but then I went to BI_LO kinda hungry w/my friend and bought some hot pockets (and ate both of them! )………..on a different note, I did watch TV with her afterwards(something I actually don’t do too often), and I must say that Paris Hilton’s new show on MTV is quite entertaining….I’m sure I laughed off a few calories :)

I’ve eaten one blueberry yogurt Nature Valley bar for breakfast, a grilled cheese sandwhich with 1 glass of sweet tea, and then yea, one more glass of tea (Not a good idea, but I guess it’ll be ok as long as I don’t eat much more today.)……I also smoked 2 cigarrettes, don’t really consider myself a smoker as rarely as I do it, but sometimes it’s just good to have one……..and I did my exercise, which consisted of dancing freestyle to my mixed CD for 30 minutes (I’m quite tired from it, so it must be working, or either I shouldn’t have been smoking ,haha ), and then when I went to take a shower it appeared to me that my butt was a little smaller; I could’ve been hallucinating LOL, but still, it’s a good feeling, although I really want my jelly roll on my stomach to go away first!!!!…..grr!!! How on earth do you get rid of it?

So, although I woke up late and didn’t eat until 12pm, I did very well.. first it was a tortilla wrap, stuffed with: 1/4 cup cheese,1tbs sour cream,spinach,mushrooms,and 2 packs of taco bell mild salsa with a very large glass of water. Then, since I skipped work and went to GA to watch my little bro play in the marching band, I ate lunch in the van w/ my dad,2 sisters and nephews. I ordered a mcrib meal from mcdonald’s, but gave the fries to them to share (since I hate to waste money, and find that a meal is actually cheaper than getting a sandwich and a drink), and drank a diet DR Pepper. Then I rode in the van just chilling out for a few hours until we got there ( i don’t know too many exercises that can be done in the car, but if anyone could tell me some that’d be awesome….). When we got there we ate dinner at this place called “country buffet” (how original, LOL)…which was ok, though the word buffet always scares me because it’s hard not to overeat at one. I did great though, in my opinion….They had these plates divided into three sections , and so in the big one i put a bit of mac&cheese, and a very small piece of country fried steak (NO GRavy FOR ME!), then I put not even a handful of rice in one of the small sections, and collard greens in the other (unfortunately, I couldn’t find any vinegar to put on them, so I had to make do with tobasco sauce…not too bad actually). Then I ate a roll, and I put a small salad in one of the dessert bowls (lettuce,tomato,a little cheese a few croutons, and a little ranch dressing)…..then I just took one small bite of my sisters pie for dessert. I had a coke at the exhibition, which was 240 calories, but I didn’t want to waste it or seem ungrateful since my dad had bought it for me ( I’m not sure if he realizes I’m wanting to lose weight, and I definitely don’t want to make a huge deal out of it), then on the way home, at about 1:30 in the morning, I had a snack of BBQ potato chips and a Kool-aid pouch……..probably could have done without it, but I doubt it ruined anything.


I can’t believe it, but i’m not complaining! :)

*******So I got on the scale this morning, and my weight is now 180.4! I am so happy that I’ve lost about 4 pounds, although I’m not sure how that happened in one week (perhaps some was water weight, but you know, I’ll take what I can get). I guess all those little things have started adding up already too, like not eating fries one day, trying to stay away from the sugary drinks, leaving a little food on the plate…….well,I still have a long way to go, but this was definitely the encouragement I needed. *********

Today was good, although i didn’t exactly eat everything as i had planned. I had to work from 10-6 , so before work i had 1 slice of banana nut bread (a very small slice at that), and 1 8 0z glass of 2% milk ( i prefer skim actually, but sometimes i just have to eat whatever my parents have in the house, not complaining about free food LOL). Then I packed a bag with a banana, 1 pack of pretzels, a diet white tea, and 4 bite size snickers bars to snack on, my goal was to try and eat every 2-3 hours, since i’ve read in several magazines and books that it will rev your metabolism. I did that, but then at 6:00, when i was planning to go home and cook a healthy dinner (either tuna salad or spagghetti w whole weat noodles), my friend called me to remind me that i told her that i would go to church with her that night! whoops! i felt so bad for forgetting, but i went with her so it was ok,the only real trouble being that she and her family always go out to eat afterwards, and i have trouble resisting an invitation to go out to eat, so I ended up eating at Arby’s instead, and well, i definitely didn’t order the healthiest thing on the menu; i ordered a bacon cheddar roast beef sandwich, , and curly fries with honey mustard :( ….but they taste so GOOD, ….at least i had a diet coke, right? RIGHT?! LOL, seriously though, i figure that it was better than what i wanted, which was a crispy chicken sandwhich with large fries and a milkshake ( Now THAT would have been BAD!!!) …….unfortunately, i was so tired when i finally got home so i did n0 exercise.FOR SHAME!……. Anyway, my homework for this week is to get nutrition information because apparently, the harder i try not to go out to eat, the more i do so, so I’ve got to make better choices at the restaurants……..

Breakfast was a spicy chicken biscuit and a diet coke from jack in the box (hey, no hash browns! good for me)……I was supposed to be getting coffee with my friend but she was so late, so i skipped that and saved calories……..Lunch was 2 hot dogs from skins, plain (they had chili on them, but i had to scrape it off, bc they accidentally put onions on them, so that saved some more calories)……I had a snack of cheese crackers, and 2 glasses of sweet tea today(yea i know that’s bad for me….i am going to try to only drink water starting tomorrow)…….then supper was a bit heavy, i ordered an appetizer sampler from applebees ( i really do love that restaurant!), but i shared a lot of it with my friend, and i came home and danced like a crazy person for about 30 minutes, so i’m sure i burned off something. :) it was fun either way, my mood is definitely elevated……..Starting tomorrow, though, I am going to have to be a little more strict or i’ll never lose this weight……It’s about time i did though, i’ve been in the same weight range of 170-185 since high school, and i’d like to be a healthy 140-150.


DAY 3: I was hoping that would be my good day, but i love alchohol……

Breakfast was 5 Ritz Crackers, and 1slice of cheese.
Snack: 1/2 cup vegetarian baked beans
Lunch: Applebees (hey i really like that restaurant)…..BLT, and a Fried chicken salad(off the lunch menu….should have ordered the ceaser w/low fat dressing…..), and a long island iced tea…..(real smart……)
Snack: another LIITEa…….yum!
Dinner: Went to a sports bar, had a pepperoni pizza( i did leave 2 slices on the plate though, a rarity for me, so i at least get credit for that:) ) …….and 2 coors light beers……
………….The biggest problem of today was i did NO exercising at all to work these calories off……..I will try harder for sure……..

Thanks for your encouragement, Delita. :) You’re right, sometimes you just gotta go……but it’s sooo bad for diets!
Today I did better. Fiber one honey clusters for breakfast, a grilled chicken club sandwich from chik fil a and a diet Dr Pepper for lunch ( i gave the fries to my friend), and the only bad part was dinner: i went to Don Pablos. I ordered a bacon cheddar burger with fries and a water. I only ate half of the burger though, because it really didn’t taste very good. The only trouble is, i have no clue how many calories I’ve eaten. Common sense tells me i did better than normal though, so it’s ok. The worst part of the day, however, was while my friend was doing my hair, i noticed how i looked like a big blob sitting in his chair…..it made me feel disgusting…sigh….I also bought a belly dancing video tonight, but it was HARD….so i didn’t finish my exercise :( oh,well……just gotta go “one step at a time”……lol, I love that song!

So, after all that, I ended up at waffle house last night. I probably ate a whole day’s worth of food there……..so i’m starting over today. LOVELY………
