Pretty much just food

Morning off kilter–had to deliver needed forgotten homework down to the school and that ended the possibility of time to do tm, so I just did ladies lite aerobics.  rest of the day blah—A. got progress report today; not great, I think (as I have all along) that she’s in over her head.  I worry about all the pressure she insists on putting herself under. Two kids at a neighboring h.s. killed themselves over the week-end–WHY can’t these kids see that a set back is NOT a reason to end their life????  Not sure if their actions were connected with the impending progress reports but suspect there may be a link.  So bummed about such waste.

For some unknown reason, my right calf is just killing me today—doesn’t feel swollen, bruised, can’t feel any lumps, no heat, no red streaks (thank God)..just super, super painful!!!  Not good.

Bfsk: Lo na V8, Grape Nuts Flakes w/skim………snack:1/2 Wasa w/1T. chunky p.b., 1/2 orange, about 10 pistachios…………..lunch: very small square turkey shepards pie, yogurt, 1 80 cal. Reeses pb cup…………….dinner: 1/4 Calif. Pizza thin crust white pizza, and then blew it (this is after I saw the progress report) 2 more Reeses AND a dark Milky Way

Off to put my feet up, watch a little t.v., read and try to shake the bad feeling left by the day.  G’nite, chickadees.  Take care.

so sad about those kids… it’s so complicated sometimes and yet it can also be so mindlessly simple.

poor a and the homework…. she has high expectations but she’s lucky to have you to fall back on. give her a bit of love when she needs it.

worried about the calf issue ms. soclose. weird… pulled muscle? if it doesn’t feel better you know you need to go to the MD.

please give A an extra tight hug from me for two reasons -
one that she has a mother who is so devoted to her
two that she is a loved child….

Careful with that calf, it can be a sign of a clot.
I am sorry about the kids, I see no reason for suicide, it is not the answer, but it is the heartache it leaves behind that angers me.
Watch that calf, and see a doctor….

What a heart renching day for you ((hugs)). Sad stories like that really make you put things into perspective. Good thing you took the workout easier today with your calf, sometimes the body has to force us to slow down. Hope tomorrow is better :)

    hi there lady!
I am also so very sad to read about the suicides among those young people in your area…it would have made me feel awful, too. I’m sure you do talk to A. about all that pressure she’s putting herself through. Hopefully as long as she is able to articulate her feelings about why she wants this, and can let off steam, she’ll be okay and the stronger for it.
Thank you for your kind comments on my blog - it’s nice to receive a kindness, and I needed it today!
As always, you do good work on the eating and exercising front - once in a while a splurge on choccy’s is allowed!
