When it rains it pours! Hopefully A's foot will heal fast! And I hope the situation with the horse will be figured out as well.

Ganglyon cist on the toe?! OUCH!! I have one on my wrist (for several years now) and they are annoying. Sometimes I don't know it's there, sometimes I can hardly move my wrist. I will NOT smash it with a book though as stated in a comment above! OUCH!!!

Sending A. healing vibes for her foot. Lousy day, you're right. May you have a beautiful sleep (or sleeps) over the course of the next weeks. Remember that you are a loved person, and so is A. Love, RubyJean

Must be a planetary line up - I fought with my DH too! As for your problems.
I am really sorry about the bone issue. Not sure what it is, but it sounds bad. On a brighter note, ganglions can be treated easily. You actually smash them with a book and they disperse and are absorbed back into the body.

If you have a contract, he cannot change it. That is fundamental breach of contract. (I took one law course at university). Noting that A cannot really do sports for the time being, maybe you want to view this as a way out of your contract. Just a thought.

Not sure how she is going to deal with the pressures of school. Walking? Poor kid. Poor you.

Take care - the planets must move on so we can go back to living the dream!

Came here to thank you for your kindness during my weekend meltdown and find that you're dealing with all this!!!! Poor A! Poor Mom! I think we take things harder than our kids when they have a problem.

About that man thing...yes, it's universal! I thought it was a generational thing. I'm from that generation of "super women" who were encouraged to join the workforce (but don't neglect the house or kids!). I thought things were getting more equal in terms of "Hey, I work just as much as you, you wash the damn dishes!" Unfortunately, it never seems to change when it comes to the kids. It's a good thing kids have Moms or they'd never make it! That's one of the things that was bothering me during my meltdown. DIL does not take care of the kids but DS wouldn't dream of taking over. That's her responsibility!

Take a break! You deserve it!

Hugs!

I don't know what to say, I'm sorry just sounds so trival. But I am sorry, sorry about your daughter's diagnosis, sorry about the horse troubles, sorry that things are so rotten for you right now......
With all your stressors right now, all I can say is to hell with the diet, you don't need to add that to your worries....
My thoughts and prayers are with you

Such horrible stuff happening to you! I am so sorry. I am keeping my fingers crossed for good news for A. Poor kid. Since she is so young, she should heal soon. maybe, just maybe, you might want a second opinion on the necrosis thing, since it is so rare.

Dont worry about eating a little more. Tooooo many things on your plate. Be gentle to yourself. My love and big hugs to both A and you.

take care,

Oh, damn, double-damn, and GAWD damnit!!!!! Such bad news about A's foot - the other stuff is just kvetch-able; THIS is downright horrible! How is she handling it? Yeah, I've noticed that about men in general - with rare exceptions (ONE son-in-law in three) they manage to neatly keep themselves aloof from all the running we women do for and with our kids. Just about the only solace I can think of for that particular aggravation is that it's damned close to universal.
I'll be thinking of you, Ms. Close - and of A, as well, and hoping like crazy for the best possible outcome.
Big hugs - and don't worry, I'm out of your way on the food thing. Sometimes you've just GOT to stuff your face a bit. Too bad it seems to be such a comfort to us, but it is, so there you have it. If it was me, I'd be diving headfirst into a hot fudge sundae right about now. Maybe TWO of 'em.
