The camping sounds so good. I would even love to sleep in the yard sometimes. My dad sometimes used to sleep in our garden during summer. Just a folding bed, nothing fancy. But sometimes there used to be a sweet wind and that garden was full of white tropical flowers with awesome scent. I wasn't allowed to do that. :(

Thank you, thank you, thank you for the movie suggestions. Also taking down the book recos.

So good to hear that A is doing so well with horses. She is a real acheiver.

Lots of love,

Girls & Horses= perfect match. Tends to keep boys out of the picture for a while.

My DH would like horses because "They would look so pretty out in the field". He has no idea how much work they are. I would go along with it--I have visions of us riding together-- but I wonder if I'm too old to throw a leg over 'em anymore. (The horse, not my husband.)

I give you credit for sleeping in a tent without being handcuffed or tied down... I wouldn't do it under any other circumstances!

My idea of "camping" is a luxury cabin with air conditioning, a big-screen TV and a full kitchen!!! But I give kudos to those who actually like sleeping in the great outdoors!

I love camping. Used to go every weekend when I was still living in Canada. have not been now for over 10 years.
DH and I went hiking in Kokee last weekend and you can camp there, so we are now going to do the tent buying etc. I can hardly wait.

Hmmm. So the equestrian has lofty goals, does she? Well, there's nothing wrong with that, and if she can make it, why not? A camping trip sounds fun - probably more work than I'd be willing to do, though. I've gotten pretty lazy in my dotage, here. I DO like the idea of waking up to birdsong and wind in the willows-kind of thing. Earthiness. Earthiness is good. Reacquainting yourself with nature up close and personal is rejuvenating. I know it is. I'm half-way convinced that DH and I ought to go ahead and give it a shot. We'll see. I need to get acclimated to wearing these glasses, first. Every step I take, it feels like I'm stepping down into an abyss. Yikes!
Please endeavor to remain internet-connected. We DO miss you horribly when you're out of touch, you know.
Hugs,
