pedometer power

I finally,FINALLY got over that magic 10,000 steps!!!!!  Just over 14,100 for the day.  Gym this am: weight machines, light on upper body–rt. shoulder still just isn’t quite right, didn’t go over 70 lbs. on any upper body machines…….3.64 mi. on tm……..10 min hard row……ladies lite aerobics.

Bfsk was usual, lunch was at the home (just beautiful) of one of the women from the exercise group; a pot luck; ate as well as possible,  had some gelato late afternoon and just a few min ago one slice lo fat cheese and a few black olives, will have some warm milk (skim) yet before bed.

We went to the stable tonight—Rachel was just fine; no limp.  A. only rode about 10 min and just walked her because of the extreme heat.  Flies were awful so we washed her down well and loaded her up with fly spray before turning her out for the night.

Good night, chickadees; going to read the paper yet and turn in.

I’m always amazed that I can feel like I’ve been moving all day long & the pedometer says differently unless I do some serious treadmill time. Frankly, it drives me crazy!

Congrats on winning that fabulous door prize!

I had a pedometer for awhile. I am too old and easily frustrated to use one. Mine NEVER recorded all the steps I took, I swear! Congrats on the 10,000 steps, Ms. Close! No wonder that six pounds fell off the way it did!
Stay cool - we’re in a heat wave up here, too. I’d love to complain and kvetch, but it seems to me I was just doing that awhile ago - about the snow and the cold. This, I’m trying to just *enjoy*. (Right).
A is very responsible towards that horse - learned from you, obviously. Every so often, when I’m feeling my most cynical, it helps to remind myself that there are people like you in the world.
    Hugs,

Yessireee, yay you on the 10,000 steps. I have been considering buying a pedometer from WW. I’d probably be shocked at how little I’m moving, but that’s the point!
Congrats on your door prize win, and I agree with ella about how responsible A. is towards Rachel and how good to know that she’s out there in the world being a decent human being and you’ve been raising her so beautifully.
Congrats too on the 6 lbs. I missed that!

Wish I could figure out how I could use something to measure heart rate or steps or something in the pool but I don’t see any way to do it.

Let me know about the H for H. I was VERY pleased with what I found. I think the best way to do it is to find out when their regular pickup is and go there right after they get back. The things I got perked right up as soon as I got them in the ground and got a little water on them.

Way to go with getting over 10,000. I wore a pedometer for about a year but then it died at the crucial moment when we were doing our training walks for Oxfam. (Claimed I’d done aabout 400 steps when I know I’d done about 15kms, or 20,000) Recently I got one out of a magazine. It works about as well as you’d expect from a free pedometer – keeps falling off. I’ve given up. Glad yours is working so well
