long week-end–YES!!!
Today starts the holiday week-end. A. and I will be leaving, probably at the crack of dawn, for Lexington (about 5 hrs. away) tomorrow. Don’t like the idea of being on the highway in all the traffic but she really wants to see the competition being held this week-end at the Va. Horse Center. I guess it’s pretty high level if you follow the horse world—I don’t, but she’s raving about the chance to meet some people named O’Conner. It’s dressage, cross country and stadium jumping leading up to the Olympics. Staying over Sat. night—outrageous prices, btw, but it’s not like we do this often, in fact, never before stayed over and it’s a lot of driving for one day.
Made it on the exercise bike yesterday. Didn’t make gym today cause A. had a late start at school. Later this evening I’m going to a flee market and antique show up at the convention center.
Food today: grapenuts flakes w/ skim, V8, banana bread……………….banana for snack………….lunch: 3 jalapeno stuffed olives, cottage cheese, 1 Hebrew National lo fat hot dog, 1 piece whitewheat and mustard, blueberries and cantaloupe…………dinner will be salmon and a big salad w/ tomatoes, red pepper and cucs.
Weight is same; still only 2 down for the month. Wednesday night I did have a scoop of mint chocolate chip—no will power that night! Other than that food has been really good.
A. just got home from school; gotta find something for her to eat and finish up the laundry.
Have yourselves all great week-ends, chickadees!!!

Love those olives, yum! I have been wanting a hot dog. Settled for turkey italian sausage yesterday because I can’t figure out a way to slim down how I like my hotdogs: with chili and slaw. Plus, haven’t found a good brand of low fat hot dog yet. I will have to try hebrew national. Thanks!

I love hot dogs too, and that is my one cheat food. I will allow myself to have one every month. And I like the big fatties
Have a great weekend on the road and stay safe.

Honey I think the 2 pounds down is AWESOME. I’m gonna weigh in tomorrow and I honestly doubt I’ve lost as much as you!
I’m sure you had a wonderful trip!

Sounds like those two pounds are permanently off, so that’s a good thing, yes? Your week-end plans sound awesome. I love flea and antique markets too. Haven’t been to any yet this year. Better pull my socks up, aye?
Take Care….Ruby

Okay, so this sounds awful, probably, but I actually enjoy veggie dogs (not-dogs)…the flavor & texture are right, you don’t get that nice burst when you break into them for the first time, but they’re not a bad substitute, super healthy, & they do well on the grill.
Soclose, hope you had an awesome weekend adventure & I’m with rubyjean, those 2 pounds are gone, not just some fluctuation on the scale, but gone-baby-gone! & that’s cause for celebration!
