ho hum
I’m still here, just kind of listless. Nothing much going on. Food has not been bad. Went to gym on Monday, missed today. I took my car to the dealership today as it’s been dying on me when I go to pull out. They did something called an engine top clean and I had the oil changed while there as it was close to due.
We had bad storms last night between about 1 am and maybe 4 am. Bright beautiful rather cool day now.
A. is home from school, tom. Poor kid. She worked with Gracie on Sunday–had some excellent help with the training from another regular at the barn; I think she learned a lot. Gracie, however, still won’t move if she doesn’t want to. A. did get a bit of a ride though. The new stallion (just fixed) had a saddle on him for the first time and did much better than I thought he would. He really likes attention and is quite friendly. No rider yet though, so that may change.
Onward, chickadees!

Doesn’t it drive you mad when you love your kids so much, and they still drive you so nuts! My son (21) is moving away from home on Sunday. His first Real Job and he’ll be living about 7 hours away. Very excited and scared for him. At the same time, I get up to make breakfast and the microwave is a STY! Honestly. The spag sauce he heated up for his dinner last night must have exploded in there, but did he bother to clean up the mess? NO. There’s an axolotl in my kitchen “temporarily” until he gives it to a friend for his birthday, and I don’t want an axolotl in my kitchen at all. Then I go back and look at pictures from when he was a little boy and yeah, feel all weepy. Sometimes just seeing other people’s blond-haired little boys is enough to set me off.
By the way, “chook” is just the Australian nicknames for hens/chickens/domestic fowl.
