ban g. s. cookies!!!!!!

Well after being sooooooooo proud of myself, I caved and ate and ate and ate the awful things—thin mints and peanut butter.  You know, when the little girl came to the door weeks ago, I KNEW that ordering cookies wasn’t the way to go, but I remembered trying to sell those blasted things myself way back when and felt sorry for her.  It was very cold and her order form was almost empty.  Well, I guess this falls under the heading of: No good deed goes unpunished!!!  I’ll be on that stupid tm. for YEARS trying to work these cookies off.

Anyway, we had rain all day.  I went out late yesterday afternoon and cut a big bunch of daffys and put them where I can see them from almost everywhere.  Very cheerful!!!

Food has not been bad except for the cookies which will soon be gone.

Gym today.  Stretch and exercise mat, weight machines—went easy on the arm ones as I have a huge bruise on my upper right arm, no idea how sustained, 1.77 mi. on the tm, ladies lite aerobics.

Got a print out of my cholesterol test from Tues.  Last time I had one I was just a few points over 200, that was about a year and a half ago and before I did any exercise.  Now it’s 192, so that’s better.  Triglycerides: 71.  HDL: 52  LDL: 126  Guess  exercise does do some good.

My daughter is thrilled because the bareback pad she ordered came yesterday. It even has stirrups.  The only saddle she had to use for Gracie was a big old roping saddle which she hated; it is so heavy she has to get up on the mounting block to be able to lift it high enough to get it on the horse (and Gracie isn’t a big horse).  Sunday might be real interesting if Gracie doesn’t like the new thing.  Wonder if she’ll move this week or decline to budge.

Step away from the girl scout cookies, chickadees!

Oh brother. I ordered some from my granddaughter. I suppose I’ll be facing the same hazards myself within a day or so. Why can’t they sell fruit or something? Oh, I’m glad to hear that you have a bouquet of daffys. We had snow again yesterday - nearly a foot - and more predicted for the start of the week. I’m getting downright impossible to be around.
I’m hanging in here by the skin of my teeth. DH is really getting on my nerves - not because he does anything annoying, neccessarily, but because he’s always here. I feel like I have no space whatsoever. I’m picturing those daffys and thinking spring coming….soon.
    Hugs,

I feel for you! I don’t even really like GS cookies, as cookies go, they’re not even that good. But…little girls next door, across the street plus one friend’s little girl all sell to us. I take them to work and put them out by the coffee.
Hope Grace the horse likes the new pad, and moves!
    Great on the exercising!
We’re covered in about 10 inches of snow here, so no sign of daffodils here.

Oh good lord, I haven’t even thought about the COOKIES. They are supposed to be here any day. Always something, huh? Congrats on your numbers! Nice to know you are doing something so proactive, right?

Thank you for the welcome. I’ve been at 3FC for a considerable amount of time and constantly read through all of the forums and message boards. I’ve decided to be more of a player than an observer and do it, whatever it takes.
And it looks like I am in good company!

Ug, girl scout cookies! I had to beat some little girls off with a stick who were set up outside Kroger yesterday trying to sell some. I will be writing my legislature about a ban on them forthwith! :) They are evil I tell you! Way to go on getting your cholesterol down! That s awesome!! I bet the dafs are beautiful, flowers always seem to brighten up things.

I don’t buy the cookies cause I will eat them. So I stay far away.
They should sell fruit or something healthy.

Sorry about the cookies. I resisted tempation and ordered WW Magazine from my favorite GirlScout instead. When her mom approached me with the cookie order I was able to say that I ordered a $15 subscription already! Otherwise I too would have been sweating the cookies.

Good job on the cholesterol. Whoot!
