trying to be normal / update
I think I’m pretty much all better, just kind of weak now and then. The 2 1/2 pounds is still off—no surprise, food is still having NO appeal but I’m trying. I don’t usually ever count calories but I think I had less than 500 cals for the entire week-end, no wonder I’m feeling a bit weak.
I had 3/4 piece of toast this am then went to the gym, more out of habit than anything: did warm up and mat exercises and weight machines with reduced weights………no t.m., no ladies lite aerobics; just didn’t feel up to it and didn’t want to push. One of our regulars is having surgery later this week so a few had planned to go out to breakfast—I was real iffy on this but went. I ordered 2 pancakes and a small glass of orange juice; finished about 1/3 of the pancakes (plain); the guy who is having surgery finished them. I did drink all the oj.
It’s midafternoon, will update if I eat more today. Later (around 6pm) had 1/2 can chicken noodle soup, very diluted and 1/2 banana…..good news is, I think I actually had a flicker of hunger before I ate, we’ll see what tomorrow brings. I took my daughter to violin tonight and her instructor said his girlfriend is down and out with what sounds like the same bug.
Thanks for the good wishes and encouragement, it’s at the point where I’m just tired of it.

Wow, that sucks you are not feeling well. =( I hope you feel better soon, you are doing good by making sure you keep eating something. Get better!

Ohhhhhh….I missed your posts somehow about being ill. You poor thing! I had something similar although not nearly as bad a couple of weeks back - accompanied by a headache. Ugh. Went away within a day or so, though. Well, I’m glad you’re doing better, m’dear. Time to get a few more calories in if you can, sounds like. You need the energy, now that you’re getting back on your feet again.

I’m so glad you’re starting to feel better. Nothing worse than being sick in the winter, and it’s all dark and cold all the time. Pretty soon you’ll be blooming like a flower again!
