bombs away

The headline yesterday in our paper was…..”Navy  quiet on bomb details”……the F18 had been down to NC to a bombing range there and I guess the bomb didn’t release fully ( the Navy term for this is “hung ordnance”) and fall when it was supposed to and released as the plane was coming in for a landing.  It was a smoke bomb, not armed at all.  Still, not something you would want to get hit with.  Since nobody was injured and no property was damaged it is classified  TFOA by the Navy—things falling off aircraft—-no, I am not making that up.

I have a hamstring that is not very happy so I did only about 1 1/2 hrs. at the gym and skipped yoga; it actually felt BETTER after 40min. on the treadmill, go figure!

It’s gray, windy, and chilly here today; hurricane off the coast.  Last night we did our volunteer stint at the stables.  My grass eating baby has a new trick; he’s given up the grass but now he’s taken to giving me a good push with his head when we are stopped; I’m supposed to be placed directly in front of him and facing him whenever we are at a standstill and he nearly knocked me on my butt several times.  This is supposed to be affection on his part, maybe he missed me last week.  This week-end the stable is hosting the equine part of Special Olympics so I suppose we’ll be there part of the time.  The next formal riding classes for the disabled aren’t till next March, darn.  I’m gonna miss those stubborn fur balls.  I guess we can always go over and shovel pastures and clean stalls to help.

Bfsk: grapenuts flakes w/skim, decaf tea w/ skim…………snack: 3 slices deli turkey, 1 slice Swiss, applesauce, 1/2 Wasa……..lunch will be cube steak, veg. and salad and V8 juice.

Have  good days, chickadees.

How funny, about the TFOA, I mean. I imagine being nose-pushed by a horse is more annoying than funny. You keep safe with that off-coast hurricane.
