I hope the girl who broke her arm isn't too terrified to get back on the horse. I fell off my horse at 10 and broke my arm, I think it scared my mom much more than me. I'm glad Betsy isn't having any more problems.

Thanks for the answer! I'll send up good thoughts and a prayer for both girls and for the horse.
LOL (I never use those acronyms, I always feel like a fraud! LOL ;)), we probably did cross paths.

It was the disabled child who broke the 2 bones in her arm. She is 14, poor girl, just a yr. younger than A. They were going to let the swelling go down and cast her this week.
The Brewery was on Mi. Ave. just east of Frandor and on the other side of the street and west of campus. The only 2 story place I can remember was The Stables but that was east of campus; toward Okemos. There was also a sandwich place called Hobies nearer campus that I loved; never had a ham sandwich so good. Also a place called Lum's. I was in Mi. from 72 til 79, spent time off and on in E. Lansing and on campus. We may have passed each other on the street!!!

Oh my stars! I cannot even imagine how terrifying it must have been to see that happen with your child. Is it your daughter that broke the two bones or the child she was helping? Either way, I hope they heal quickly, Like the staff and everybody else, I'm sure, I am really impressed with your daughter handled the whole situation. What a fine person you have raised. I love family history stories, and yours is very interesting. I went to school (MSU) in E. Lansing, and I'm wondering if I knew the bar you mentioned. Did it have a big downstairs stage/bar area right across from the the campus? I left for Africa before I finished at MSU and didn't get back until I was 33. Hope Betsy is doing okay!
