heatwave

Wish I could write that it’s a rainy Monday but not the case; we are to be near 90 through Wed.  Am considering googling “rain dances”!!!  It’s just too hot to seem like fall and the leaves here are nothing like the northeast or Mi., just don’t get the color on these straggly trees.  Gotta go about 3 hrs. west to see mountains and decent color.

Anyway,  A. is home from school; hateful period.  Poor kid, she was due 9/28—been having cramps and backache and headache since then off and on; but no actual period till today.  This am she got me up at 5:15 for her Ponstel which was in my purse.  Thought she was good enough by 6:20 for school so she went, said the bouncing of the bus did her in, I got a call to pick her up at 7:35…..came home, lost her cookies, took a hot bath, and is now sleeping.  I suppose it’s back to the gyn for the pill to get her regulated, much as I hate to put a 15 yr. old on the pill…….she just can’t go on like this……..

We had a decent week-end; stayed in Fri. night, yeah!!!!  Sat. slept in, went to A’s mowing job which she did and she did some business paperwork for the guy she mows for, then we went to Hallowscream at Busch Gardens, or at least tried to, they were at capacity so we did the historic section of Williamsburg instead—spooky at Halloween, too.  Ended up in Starbucks at Barnes and Noble, then home by 11:00pm.  Had eaten @ Cracker Barrel; I had roast beef dinner.

Sunday, stayed in, made stroganoff per request.

I’m going to try a quiche today using hashbrowns for the crust, directions were in local paper; I’ll let you know how it turns out, gotta be healthier than pie shell.

Didn’t get to the gym; had planned to but they didn’t open till 8am because of the holiday and I was on the road to get A. at that time.  Walked dogs with neighbor—better than nothing, but not much!!!

Onward, chickadees!!!

Heatwave up here too. I just an not believe it’s in the 80s, hot and humid in October. I walked/jogged 5 miles at lunch and the sweat was just pouring off me. I weigh in tonite and need to show at least some kind of a loss.

I went through the same thing when I was a kid- I started the pill at 17. I actually really liked it b/c it made my period like clockwork. When the time comes, you might want to have the “you still need to use protection” talk as she gets older, or make sure the gyno gives it to her! Regarding the bars, there wasn’t an expiration date on them unfortunately. I was so wigged out, I seriously lost my appetite for a while. Although it never stays away for long!

Your poor little girl! I am sorry to hear that she is suffering like that. Quiche sounds interesting, let us know how it turns out.

Oh she is so young to have it be such a pain. Heatwave and pain! Good luck with the Gyno, 15 does seem so young - but then I have a 15 yo and so it seems like a baby to me these days. Knock-u-nakeds are chocolate, pecam, caramel bars :) - dritta
