looking better
God, I feel like all I’ve been doing for a week is writing depressing stuff; MAYBE because I have. OK, time for some good things:
1. My dau. did eat a little tuna noodle casserole yesterday and later about 1/3 of a hamburger with a few french fries soaked w/vinegar, today she actually managed a nectarine!!! She sees the oral surgeon again tomorrow. Needed only 1 Vicodin yesterday and is getting her mouth open a little more today. Although she was more than ready to come home after a couple hrs., I think she really enjoyed getting out a bit yesterday.
2. I’ve found that even though I’ve not been making it to the gym and haven’t lost any amt. worth talking about for MONTHS, I’m getting waistbands closed that wouldn’t close in May—Dritta wrote something about plateaus and looking at them like the body was just settling in, paint drying—-guess she’s right!!!
3. One more week til school starts (we don’t go back til after Labor Day) and I can get back to my gym, exercise, and yoga sched.; I do miss it.
4. I’m awake….yes, I count this as a good thing after the nightmare I had last night….it was awful and I can’t even remember the last time I had one
Food so far: 9:00am grapenuts flakes w/skim, plum, decaf tea w/skim………………..noon WW salisbury steak w/asparagus, 1 skinny cow fudge bar and just a lick of homemade ice cream from a neighbor…………time to start thinking about dinner, no idea yet…

you’re right, I shouldn’t be giving this man rights to inside my head. I need to just get over it. I, too, am looking forward to getting back on a schedule when school starts- I thrive on routine!

That is great that your clothes are fitting better. That is the only thing that has kept me going be stuck at the same weight for the last month. Good for you for writing some uplifting things. They certainly brightened myday.

Soclose! Glad your daughter’s doing a bit better! What a siege that has been, eh?
Listen, re: more high fiber ideas - I’ve been making meatloaf with Fiber One cereal that’s LOADED with fiber and tastes really good. You might want to give it a try. I use two pounds of 93% lean ground beef, 3 cups of Fiber One Cereal measured AFTER I pulverize it to bread crumb consistency in the blender, two eggs, about half a cup of chopped green pepper, half a cup of chopped red pepper, half a cup of chopped onion, and a couple of good generous squirts of ketchup. Squish together real good, form into a loaf and bake for about an hour & a half on 375. My DH loves it, and he’s not even trying to diet.
As far as I’m concerned, the scales are the most unpredictable things in the universe - we’re WAY better off judging by how our clothes fit, as far as I’m concerned. So, Congrats on looser clothes, kiddo! Keep up the good work!
I always love it when there’s a new post in your blog - and thanks for keeping up with mine!
