laid back day
I didn’t get back yesterday due to severe storms most of the evening into the night. Food for rest of yesterday: dinner–4 slices thin sliced turkey, bean salad,10 cherry tomatoes, 1 skinny cow fudge bar….snacks later: almonds and another fudge bar. This am I am up 2 lbs…understandable after the last 4 days, back to work.
It’s grey and cloudy after a huge amt. of rain last night, cooler too but humid as usual. I’ve been on the phone to the H.S. about a couple matters, usual run around–office folk say it’s a guidance matter and guidance says it’s office folk’s job; all this cause SOMEONE mailed my dau. someone else’s sched.—give ME this poor kids address and I’ll remail it–no, they have WAY too much fun blaming each other…scheeeesh!!! Also, I had to apply for a waiver of some athletic rule and attest that she was switching h.s. for academic reasons and not to unfairly boost a sports team…what a giggle, yeah, she runs, but if the truth be told, how fast she runs usually depends on who she is talking to during the race. Running with the club, she was on the kids team way back to 2nd grade, has always been more social than competitive. It seems we have the enjoyment gene, not the competitive gene….she has won a lot, but really, it just depends on who shows up to run that day in her age group…..However, if anyone wants to follow a great young female runner, we’re really talking Olympic here, watch for one with the last name of Scott; I’ve watched this girl come up, she’s about 16 now and a SUPER distance runner…….
A. is doing pretty well, eating applesause, puddings, and jello and c/o being hungry…a good sign, I’m sure….no longer drooling so she’s happy about that….took a Motrin 800mg. and napping at the moment…
Food today: Grapenuts Flakes w/skim, V8 juice, decaf tea
it’s about 11am, have the feeling it’s gonna be a l-o-n-g day, will blog rest of food later…….
