Quick Thurs.

Much to do for vacation yet….

bfsk:  7:30 usual  9:30 snack 2 pieces turkey and 1/4 cantalope

Walked dogs w/ neighbor…..yelled at ass who’s large dog wasn’t on leash and came after ours; never would have done THAT 20 years ago!!!!

Took daughter to volunteer work—it’s summer solstice and one of the historical sites she works at does a big day of it; she’s in charge of the horses this am them will move on to other jobs.

Lunch with husband—-went out cause of our leaving him tomorrow…ate shredded pork bar-b-que, baked beans, and cole slaw, part of one piece of toasted bread, water

lovely nap…doing everything but packing!!!

cleaned out fridge so hubby doesn’t poison self

Dinner: 1/2 container of yogurt, red grapefruit, tea/skim

Bye for now, gonna miss y’all

124.5 today. It’s almost 11pm and I’m still doing laundry….yuck!

OK, here’s the day:

7:00am Usual bfsk……to gym: stretch and warm-up exercise, weight machines, 30 min. treadmill (with incline, no less!!!), 12 min. rowing machine, 40 min. lite aerobic class….then home

10:30am Snack: 3 pieces thin sliced deli turkey and 1/2 container lite peach yogurt…… took some food I made last night (marinated mushrooms and 5 bean salad) down to my friends who are at the beach cottage and visited for a little…..then home

1:30pm: 1/2 can Progresso French Onion Soup with a slice of Alpine Lace Swiss thrown on top, about a cup of the aforementioned 5 bean salad, and about 10 cherries

4:00pm 2 squares of my daughter’s chocolate bar (milk chocolate, for the record)

Went into town to the library…..stopped a Borders Books after, had a coupon for a free small cherry something drink–used it!!  Had a mad shoe shopping attack to the tune of 4 pr. but the good news is that both my daughter and I can wear all of them (and they WERE on sale and a needed good home).  Got my daughter a new dress to wear  to church and out to dinner when we are on vacation. 

Did a small amt. of grocery shopping…..9:30pm: red grapefruit, 1/2 Wasa cracker, 1 wedge Laughing Cow cheese.

Leaving on vacation in a day…..I’m gonna miss this….tired, need bed NOW!!

this evening: 3 pieces licorice, 2 bites of that white chocolate cheesecake from yesterday, several cups of tea w/skim

wt.:124.5—-I was SO thrilled with the 123.5 a few days ago; lets just say that the thrill is gone.

Bfsk: 7:00am Grape Nuts Flakes w/skim, lo salt V-8, tea w/skim

lunch: fast food, waiting for car at garage 11:00am…McDonalds plain hamburger w/ pickles and tomato, maybe 8 of my daughters fries and water

Ok….I promised to be honest w/myself; I realized way after I posted yesterday’s food that I “neglected” to declare the piece of white chocolate-raspberry cheesecake I had some of after lunch.  I had about 4 forkfuls; I still have half I brought home and I did share with others at the lunch.

A BIG part of my problem is eating out soooo much…..and being on vacation next week isn’t going to help…….I’m not going to meet my goal of 122 by this week-end and it looks like my plateau isn’t broken afterall……..this vacation is stressful in and of itself cause it’s the first time I’m going to where I grew up after selling the home I grew up in following my mom’s death…..I brought my mom down to live with me when it became apparent she could no longer function well on her own due to worsening dementia and other health problems…..I had her for 4 yrs. and she died right here in my home after a horrendous last 3 months of suffering, caused in large part by medical errors and incompetence…..that’s a book on its own…..all I can say is, “God help us all.” when it comes to the current state of medical care in this country.

124.5 today….usual bfsk.—gym: stretch and exercise, machines (up to 145 on calf press and 100 on triceps press and 90 on stationary row pull, about half more than when I started way back in Oct.), rowing machine 12.5 min., then 40 min lite arobics…..home and snacked: red grapefruit and ff cottage cheese…………..met with and had lunch with an old friend visiting the area with her family 1/4 mush. swiss hamburger and 1 small latke……..errands, then off to said friend’s rental beach house for a yummy swim  and light dinner there: tuna salad, fruit salad, and lemonade…………..long, active day, gonna have a skinny cow fudge bar yet, then bed; g’nite to me

Lunch was leftover pot roast, about 4oz., brussel sprouts with carrots, and mashed potatoes, maybe 1/2 cup @ 11:30 followed by a Skinny Cow fudge bar………4 walnuts at 3:30; 4:30: dinner: spag. and a salad and 2 very small pieces of garlic toast….beautiful day outside, still about 80 degrees………….first day in a long time that I haven’t left the house, just a wonderful, laid back day!!!!!   Of course, NOW my daughter is making brownies!!!!!  The skinny little traitor!!!!  Maybe if I spray enough air freshner I won’t smell them…….chocolate is the bane of my existence…….

Weight 124.5, up a pound, but 2 meals yesterday WERE fast food; what can I expect???  Got up 7:30, read the paper, ate usual bfsk with cherries for fruit (remembered the fruit—yeah me!!!); quiet house, sunny day, not too hot yet so I took myself and my cup of tea outside……scrubbed and refilled the birdbath (really needed it!!!), watered my 2 lovely tomato plants (just covered with little tomatos) and the flowers—-clematis and dianthus and columbine are over but hydranga just getting started and looks lovely.  Have a paprika yarrow blooming too and nicotcia (sp?) which smells like heaven at night.  We are to have red, white, and blue in our gardens to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Jamestown this year so my effort is a few red and white varigated impatients and blue balloon flowers–no one sees them but me, but they are there!!!  I sat with my tea under the river birch tree, watched the hummingbirds flying to the 2 feeders and really enjoyed the time I spent out there today.  Then the temp started climbing; soon it’s gonna be too humid even in the early am to sit out.  Around 11:30am I hopped on the exercise bike; did 10 min. @ level 7 and kept it @ 50-60rpms for 1.92 mi..  People stirring now, time for something to eat.

Lunch was a Subway spicy Italian–ate about 2/3 of a half,  later 1/2 Wasa multigrain cracker and a few almonds, dinner Wendy’s Southwest Salad with very little dsg.and sour cream, and none of the little frito like thingys……a couple black licorice tonight…..drank lots of water;  oops: no fruit today, rats!!!  It’s hard when you’re out to manage fruit, didn’t even think of it till now.  Will be better tomorrow….g’nite to me (and anyone else reading this)

I didn’t even blog about dinner and my evening yesterday; I was SOOO disgusted with myself.  Dinner wasn’t bad: little tuna noodle casserole, sweet potato, and broccoli…BUT all evening I went nuts with the black licorice and almonds—-honestly, there is a limit!!!!! Then I get up today, step on the scale with MUCH hesitation (praying all the time to the gods of weight-loss), and see: 123.5!!!!!  This is the lowest I’ve been so far, a new low.   I get to use my new perfume; I bought some nice Perry Ellis stuff to celebrate when my attempt to break the plateau worked……hope the dog appreciates it!

Had the usual bfsk.  Got up at 8:00 after a deliciously long night’s sleep; at least a full 8 hrs.; that almost never happens.

YOGA day

Up at 7:30…..getting lazy, can tell school’s out; skipped the gym cause my daughter said she’d do yoga with me but didn’t want to get up 2 hrs. earlier for gym……usual bfsk.: Grape Nuts Flakes w/skim, V-8, and decaf tea,  took dog to vet after yoga (it was SOOOO good today), love my yoga lady!!!!…..grocery shopping….called and arranged for 2hr. history trail ride when on vacation in about a week and a half…..lunch @ 11:30am: 1/2 cube steak w/onions, about 1/2 cup mashed garlic potatos, and salad, grapefruit………………..2:30pm:  6 cherries and handful of almonds…..heading out to the yard to deadhead the irises and peonies and weed, how exciting!!!!
