Today’s workout was Ellen’s Super Slimdown - pilates + yoga blend. I did about 20 minutes but I don’t care for it at all! Second time I’ve tried it. So I popped in an Ashtanga yoga 30 min routine(David Swenson) and did that instead.
Still gotta get my taxes done!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I’m sorta back.
Today’s workout was Turbo Jam Cardio Party.
I went to NYC last weekend. Nothing like seeing slim trim fashionable people everywhere to motivate me to keep going!
My body’s been craving spinach lately, who knows why. I got a bag yesterday and I used it to make chicken wraps. So yummy! And I feel great - I oughta eat more veggies.
I also found out today that it might sorta have to do with this RLS thing I have going on with my right thigh that sometimes keeps me awake. Apparently iron deficiency is a cause of secondary RLS - day before yesterday night I couldn’t sleep because of it. Yesterday I ate the spinach(good source of iron if eaten with other stuff - see link below!) and I slept well. I ate some today too and I generally feel better. Isn’t it amazing how sometimes your body just craves what it needs?

I also bought a skirt today - a skirt! I haven’t worn one in agessss. Size 12, a little tight but we’ll work on it. I love buying slightly-smaller clothes as incentives.

OMG! Does anyone know what happened to fl0wer’s blog?? She was such an active poster!

Hey!
Sorry to slack off on the posting and thanks for checking on me. I’m just swamped trying to get these applications out of the door! I got 710 on the GMAT, which is a decent score. I’ll be back after the madness ends!

Felt like testing that morning theory out again, so I did “Walk and Kick” from Leslie Sansone. What a great workout! She does some decent moves in this AND the music is different from most of her series which tend to repeat the same music. I felt great when I was done and it was not too fast and not too long - 32 mins including her intro. She talks less in this one too!
I have a hike planned this afternoon! It’s going to be a ‘body’ day today. Some days are mind days and some days are body days.

This is a FANTASTIC practice from yogadownload.com. Perfect perfect pacing, nice voice and it’s short! I added some of my own stretches afterward. Anyone do the Happy Baby pose? That one always feels terrific!
Lean Cuisine for dinner - I added in a veggie salad and some pasta sauce to brighten it up and a sprinkling of parmesan. Didn’t taste half bad!!
I went to lush day before and picked up a Skin Drink and a SJG cleanser and a bunch of samples. Hopefully one of these will work for my finicky facial skin! The skin on my body is MUCH better now that I’ve stopped sticking moisturizer on it all the time, and I’m taking my vitamins. I kind of have this theory that skin adjusts to how much moisture you provide for it, so if you keep using moisturizer, it will stop producing it’s own.

I just read on a message board that 20 minutes of cardio before breakfast is worth an hour and a half later on. Which motivated to stick in TJ Learn and Burn and do the 15 minute workout on there. Fun! I wasn’t quite ready for it so my joints are a bit achy but I could get used to it.
Not sure how true it is, but hey, every little bit helps. Workout day before yesterday was…something or other. I forget, but it was good. Food has been decent, I’m finding my hunger decreasing again, now that Aunt Flo has been here the last 2 days. On the day it starts, I am ravenous though.
Right now I’m eating a bowl of Smart Start and feelin’ pretty good!

Haven’t posted for a few days! I had guests for the last 4 days, two who stayed overnight and two who came for lunch and dinner. And boy have I been eating! I thought I’d gained for sure but I stepped on the scale this morning to assess the damage and it hit me back with 161!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Studying on the math thing is going well, I’m a lot more confident about some kinds of questions. I’m sure with more practice it will get easier.
My skin has become horribly itchy, dry and crack-y!! WTF! I think I am either over-moisturizing it, or more likely I need more vitamins. I’m going to commit to having a multi-vitamin daily, without fail! Also a vitmin E capsule every few days won’t hurt. And I think a bottle of olive oil will be nice to smooth on instead of these moisturizers.

Mizu, this is a great Kundalini DVD by Ravi Singh and Ana Brett(Raviana) - you can find it on amazon. It was amazing!! There are 2 yoga sets (I did set 1) followed by a selection of dances. The whole thing can be programmed via a matrix. I think this is their best DVD yet!!!
Food was good, it was an UP day, so indulged in some cookies. The great news is the weight loss is holding!!!

Yesterday’s workout was Turbo Jam CP2 - so much fun!! I really pushed my heartrate to my max. I almost felt like I didn’t get enough of a cooldown in since I had a friend coming to dinner. I don’t think I can have dinner with people who like to eat early dinners unless I get a shorter workout in(this was 45 mins) or skip working out altogether orrrr cook the day earlier! Why didn’t I think of that last one before! That would work for a lot of things like stews and soups which actually taste better the next day.
In other news, I forgot to tell you guys that I got a new DVD player and it is magnificent!! Not one freeze in the TJ DVD and I KNOW this DVD has a glitch in the cooldown. I’m so happy.
Food was decent - last night’s dinner was salmon with a mustard and dill glaze - so yummy and quick!!! Takes about 15-20 mins - let me know if you want the recipe.
I got my Dance the Chakras DVD from Amazon recently(it was on sale!) so I’ll be doing that one today.
Yes Y4C, that IS Thailand.
Looks so peaceful.
