Kickboxing

Yesterday’s workout was Turbo Jam CP2 - so much fun!! I really pushed my heartrate to my max. I almost felt like I didn’t get enough of a cooldown in since I had a friend coming to dinner. I don’t think I can have dinner with people who like to eat early dinners unless I get a shorter workout in(this was 45 mins) or skip working out altogether orrrr cook the day earlier! Why didn’t I think of that last one before! That would work for a lot of things like stews and soups which actually taste better the next day.

In other news, I forgot to tell you guys that I got a new DVD player and it is magnificent!! Not one freeze in the TJ DVD and I KNOW this DVD has a glitch in the cooldown. I’m so happy. :D

Food was decent - last night’s dinner was salmon with a mustard and dill glaze - so yummy and quick!!! Takes about 15-20 mins - let me know if you want the recipe.

I got my Dance the Chakras DVD from Amazon recently(it was on sale!) so I’ll be doing that one today.

Yes Y4C, that IS Thailand. :) Looks so peaceful.

  1. Soups and stews are wonderful because you can make a big pot on the weekend and have it on hand for dinners and lunches for days and days. And yes, it gets better when it sits for a while. Yummmm.

  2. Dance the chakras? Crazy. What is that like? I have never heard of that before. Sounds like you had a productive workout yesterday, though! Keep up the good work.

  3. I live on soups in the winter. And I might try the cold ones for the summer because I love them so much.

You’re braver than I am - I don’t do any social dinners during the week at all. I only see friends Friday and Sat nights, Sunday brunch or lunch. I have work dinners from time to time, and sometimes I book lunch dates w friends during the week, but the evening stuff wears me out and so I went cold turkey 2 years ago and was much happier. Part of it is being here in France - dinner is always a huge affair and ending before 11:30 is almost unheard of, and I just need more sleep than that…
