Sorry I haven’t been around but I found out I AM finally going to go to uni and I only have a week or so to get things in order so things are VERY crazy around here. I will update once I am over there! Thank you all for checking in - you’re all wonderful.

It’s annoying waiting for the staff at the uni to finish with their paperwork and get back to me…it’s like my whole life is on hold. I’m having some fun doing hikes in this area though, so that’s something. It still feels like life’s going nowhere at this point, hate that feeling.
I met a guy online who I thought was great, it wasn’t meant to be a long term thing since I was to move soon but I thought we’d see how it went. We met once…and then once more because I left something I bought with him by mistake. I initiated both visits and although the first one went very nice and he asked me if I would like to see him again, he never really brought up meeting again(we talk online). I met him briefly to get my stuff back a few weeks later and altho he was pleasant, no interest in meeting again. I have a feeling it would have gone differently if I’d have been skinny, so that’s not helping the depression. Mind you, he’s quite a big guy himself.

Well I’m having some problems with my admission. Damn administrative staff in colleges. I hope it gets cleared up soon because moving is a task in itself!!
At least I’m not overeating to cope with it but dealing with being depressed anyay. It will totally suck if this does not go through.
Hugs to you all and thank you for the congrats!
I’m going to stick with my new motto: There is no failure, only feedback.

Been going back and forth to NYC all this week. Tomorrow’s the last day, thank God.
Today’s workout was Fat Free Yoga - LWLG by Raviana. I feel like my joints are rusting, haven’t worked out for a few days.
Food has been less than good due to all the crazy work stuff!

I will act now. I will act now. I will act now. Henceforth, I will repeat these words each hour, each day, everyday, until the words become as much a habit as my breathing, and the action which follows becomes as instinctive as the blinking of my eyelids. With these words I can condition my mind to perform every action necessary for my success. I will act now. I will repeat these words again and again and again. I will walk where failures fear to walk. I will work when failures seek rest. I will act now for now is all I have. Tomorrow is the day reserved for the labor of the lazy. I am not lazy. Tomorrow is the day when the failure will succeed. I am not a failure. I will act now. Success will not wait. If I delay, success will become wed to another and lost to me forever. This is the time. This is the place. I am the person.

So the weather is finally beautiful in New England and I went for a hike with a new group - so much fun! Made a couple of contacts to follow up later for solo hikes and business. Awesome day all around.
Workout was Classical Stretch Deep muscle stretching. Food was good.
I am reading Paul McKenna’s book Change your life in seven days and I just read something that relates to weight loss too - “You are not responsible for the hand you have been dealt, but it’s always up to you how you play it.” Brilliant!

For those of you having trouble with those spam comments, you can turn them off by doing this:
1. Go to your dashboard.
2. Click ‘Options’ - last tab on the right
3. Click ‘Discussion’
4. Uncheck the checkmark next to “Allow link notifications from other Weblogs (pingbacks and trackbacks.)” and “Attempt to notify any Weblogs linked to from the article (slows down posting.)” (optional)
That’ll get rid of them.
No workout today but eating has been good. Has anyone seen Paul McKennas “I can make you thin”?

It’s the same thing as skin brushing Shar - tell me you know what that is!
Today’s workout was Rockin Body Cardio Jam - I did the 30 minute express option - fun!!! Followed up with a 25 min Classical Stretch Hip Flexibility ep. That woman really knows how to stretch the body.
Finally got my taxes in…today.
I had to pay quite a bit so glad I waited anyway! And apprently I don’t get the full 600 dollar rebate because I earn too much. WTF
Do they take into account rents and costs of living from place to place?? A salary that would be kingly in like Missouri or something is a pittance in NY!
I opted out of applying to Columbia actually - I was almost done with my app but they have one WEIRD question in there that totally made me mad:
Please provide the full names, home addresses, telephone numbers, colleges attended and degrees, positions and current employers of your mother, father, and spouse or partner in this space. Are they still living? Also, if applicable, please provide the names and ages of your children.
Hello?!! What does this have to do with anything!! I have 10 years of industry experience, I earn my own money and WTF do they want to know about and worse HAVE FULL CONTACT INFO on my parents?? My spouse? It’s so fucking bizarre!!
And I _thought_ it might be to see if it’s someone who studied at Columbia but then they have this question right after it:
Has anyone in your family attended Columbia University? If so, please provide their names, relationships, division of the university attended, dates of attendance and degrees in this space.
The icing on the cake was that they don’t accept scanned transcripts and make you use some shitty format that takes 90 minutes per degree to fill in. Yeah, way too much attitude. They are the best but they really don’t have to rub it in your face sheesh.
Am I irrationally ticked off about the family question? Because I AM SERIOUSLY TICKED OFF - it’s such a completely inappropriate question for a professional(not undergrad) degree! What if people are estranged from their parents? Do we have to let Columbia know?
ARGHHHHHHHH!!!!
