Etc.

Did anyone catch Oprah today? It was an awesome show. It was called “The Secret Behind the Secret”. It talked about positive thinking and how it impacts our lives.Not just how it impacts our lives, but how it can change our lives. I have really just simplified the show in one sentence, but it was great. Here was a quote:One is something called “selective attention.” “If you repeat the word, ‘blueblueblue,’ and you start looking around the room, all the blue things will start popping out,” she says. “Part of it is quantum physics. … We know now, scientifically, that consciousness brings matter into being where there was energy. So it’s not even necessarily that it draws it toward you. The conclusion is you’re literally creating some of this stuff.”  ”People say to me, ‘Oh, I don’t know about this law of attraction. I don’t know if it really works.’ I say to them, ‘So, what have you done lately to test it?’ ‘Oh, well, I think about what I want,’” she says. “That’s not good enough. You need to take specific action—make a list, do a vision board, start speaking what it is you want.” Anyway, go to Oprah’s website and check it out. I am heading to the library tomorrow for some of the books that were mentioned. I think we all have the power to succeed in whatever it is we want.  BELIEVE!  

Day 30

This weather here is making me crazy. It’s not the cold, it’s the rain. Today is day 2 or 3 of it. ENOUGH! I have to turn on lights in the house, it’s dark and gloomy. Makes me want to either watch TV or take a nap. No motivation at all. Well, I havent turned to food as a comfort, so for that I am thankful.I tried to eat a little differently yesterday, upped my protein, and lowered my fat. Carbs still came in as the highest %, and fat down to 22%.  The protein throughout the day keeps me satiated, which was a little scary, cause at dinner time, I had only eaten 1/2 my calories.  So I ate a healthy dinner, and had a couple of good carb snacks, while watching the Biggest Loser. Ended the day by about 100 calories under.  I’ve been working hard to get my yoga project in motion. I have decided to get back into yoga more, before venturing out to others. I think I need to really find my place in all of this first. I am planning to attend a teacher training in May and another in Sept. This will give me time to work on myself.  I must give to myself, before it possible to give to others.IT”S ALL GOOD!!!
