Day 14 - 2 weeks
Wow, that time went fast. What do they say, 3 weeks of something and it becomes a habit? I dont know about that, but it has been progressively easier. Thats a good thing. My walk in the woods yesterday was just what I needed. Last night I read thru my blog, and saw a pattern of “not wanting to exercise”. If exercise is disguised as a walk or hike, then all the better. I struggle with schedules. I tend to be a bit of a free spirit, and having things in my day happen at a particular time, isnt real life for me. I eat when I am hungry, seems different times in any given day. It may not vary too much, but at noon everyday, I dont stop everything to eat lunch. So going on a nice walk, alone or with my dh, or children, doesnt really “feel” like exercise. It’s family time, it’s alone time. I guess what I’m saying is, I am more apt to make excuses for a scheduled get on your bike and ride at 4pm, but if everyone want to go for a walk, then lets go. Semantics? Maybe. But it works for me. Those of you who are able to adhere to a workout schedule, I applaud you. Keep up the good work. Maybe I need to give “exercise” the same 3 weeks, to form a habit? For now, I roll with it. My hike, by the way, was at Cockaponsett State Forest. We are very lucky to have it located in our own back yard.
