This is getting ridiculous - and I’m getting fatter
General March 9th, 2008I am about to go make popcorn with my stepson. In Europe popcorn is usually served with sugar instead of salt, thus it’s a big hit with kids. I make two batches, one sugared (for him) one salted (for me). My husband hates the stuff but it was his suggestion for us to make it tonight.
I’ve been eating too much of everything and exercising very little. Meanwhile, my husband is recovering although not very fast.
I keep thinking I’m going to wake up motivated to get back on track but it hasn’t happened yet and I’m starting to think I just have to get started without waiting for a motivation moment.
But it won’t be tonight… again.

You’ll get there—you’ve just had a major stressful time of it and need to get your balance in all areas again.

Hang in there. You’ll be back on track in no time. Glad your DH is recovering well.

You will wake up motivated one morning- just let the present stresses pass. You are entitled to feel overwhelmed, you know. Really, we all just need to find a new way of dealing with these stresses. AND, in all honesty, grabbing a chocolate bar is a lot faster than 30 minutes of walking. Who has 30 minutes in a crisis!?!
Take care of yourself and then you can take care of others. Glad hubby is improving.

I completely understand. Doesn’t help with the modivation, but I understand.

You must make the motivation darlin’, it wont come knocking at your door. But, you must do it in a compassionate way to yourself, because it’s obvious to all of us that you and your family have some healing to do. Hugs from me…
