148.6!
Yay - I am down to 148.6.
I am so chuffed. I might even hit my pre-pg weight before I go on holiday at this rate!
Yay - I am down to 148.6.
I am so chuffed. I might even hit my pre-pg weight before I go on holiday at this rate!
Had a bit of a week in hiding this week.
After my extravagances of last weekend I couldnlt seem to get the weight off. Weighed in Monday at 150.6 and it wouldn’t come down - in fact yesterday it had gone up to 151, despite me being really good.
But this morning I was back down to 149.7 - back to ticker, so I’m poking my head back in here again.
But I HAVE been good, I didn;t give in to despair, and the proof is on the scales.
Thing is, I have just booked myself a holiday -we are off to Portugal for two weeks from 19th July till 2nd August, so not sure I’ll make my goal of 144 by 8th August. If I work VERY hard I could make it before I go away - it’s about 2 lbs a week - doable, but unlikely. And there’s no way I’ll lose it when I get back - I will probably put on about half a stone while I’m away.
So my goal will just be to lose as much as I can by the time we go away, and not to go too OTT on holiday.
Yesterday morning I woke up to see 149.7 on the scales!!! Haven’t seen the 140s for a good long while.
But yesterday was date #2 with my new fella!!
Went well - had a nice meal (garlic bread with cheese, and pizza), went to Yates’s but couldn’t hear ourselves think, so ended up in O’Neill’s till 1am!
Got home at 1.30 and got woken up again at 6.30 by Ruby! Ian texted me at 1pm to say he’d only just got up - alright for some!
We arranged to meet this afternoon so he could meet the girls - we went to a pub with a play area so Beth could play. It was good - we had something to eat there, so I ate out twice in two days - I daren’t think about the calories! I don’t think I’ll be seeing the 140s again tomorrow. Still, aside from the two meals, I have eaten really well the rest of the time so hopefully I shouldn’t have done too much damage.
Oh - I got an appt through for my scan for my lumpy bumpy thing - it’s on 3rd July.

Well, it’s 11.20 and what have I accomplished:
Put Ruby down for a nap
Had a shower
Dried my hair
Fed next door but one’s cat
Put washing up in sink
Cut up three apples and put them to boil for apple puree
Had cup of coffee
Oh, what an exciting life I lead.
This afternoon I plan to go to Cleveleys and buy a highchair, a blackout blind for Ruby’s room, and then to Morrisons.
Went to the doctor yesterday about a weird lumpy bumpy thing I’ve been feeling in my stomach for the last few weeks. He had a feel and he’s sending me for a pelvic and abdominal scan - it’s probably nothing but better to be sure. I’ve been doing a lot of work on my abdo muscles lately so it’s probably just my muscles growing and I’m not used to feeling them there - lol!
Or maybe it’s Ruby’s half developed dead twin!! He did ask if I could be pregnant! Not unless I changed my name to Mary and started shagging the Holy Spirit.
I heard once about a woman who got pregnant and the baby died and she never did anything about it. Decades later she had surgery and they found the baby in her - it had turned to stone! I even found a link:

Anyway, I should get an appt through for the scan within a few days he said.
I chatted to Ian last night but not for long as he was tired after driving down from Scotland.
We always have roast chicken dinner on Sundays which I love. I already limit myself to one roast potato, two little yorkshire puddings and not that much gravy to shave the calories down as far as I can. But to get it to about 1350 I also have to have NO snacks during the day at all - except a couple of handfuls of cheerios in the evening. Problem is, I like my milky coffees but those cals add up. Well, bedtime now - I can’t eat when I’m asleep!!

I bought myself some new cutlery today as the stuff I had I got when I was 18 - and I have lost two teaspoons, a knife and half a dessert spoon over the years so it’s about time I had a new set. It’s really nice - it’s got clear handles with bubbles in!
I have been reading a book today!! This never used to be an unusual occurrence as I could read for Britain, but I don’t often get time to sit and read a book these days! So it’s quite a luxury.

I just love digging out clothes from the loft that once fit, then didn’t fit, and now fit again! I have a bag full of size 10s and a bag full of size 12s. I am actually in a pair of size 10 jeans right now, but they are stretchy. I have the most gorgeous dark pink prom-style dress that I was wearing on the night Ruby was conceived (!). I tried it on a few pounds ago and it fastened but barely and I looked like the michelin man in it! I tried it on again today and it looked MUCH better. There was a still a little VPL going on, but I normally wear it without knickers (only to prevent VPL you understand!) and with tummy-pulling-in super-control-top tights.
And that is a Warehouse size 12 - so hardly roomy!! Maybe one day I’ll be able to get into Warehouse size 10! For US gals reading this - these are all UK sizes, which are different to yours. I’d guess a size 10 over here is like a 6 over there. My skinny-beyond-belief niece is in size 4 here but size 0 when she buys stuff over there.
The boobies still are bigger than they were, thanks to breastfeeding. Last time I tried stuff on I had some fitted blouses in a 12 that I still couldn’t get into - I’ll have to try those on and see if they fit yet.
Oh, and as of this morning I am down 20% of my post-pregnancy weight! Yay me.

I don’t normally read the Sun but . . .
——————-
STUNNED Lee Bradley looked in his loft – and found a colony of Kosovans living in the roof.
The 12 illegal immigrants were sitting on mattresses eating sandwiches.
Party walls had been knocked down between Lee’s home and two adjoining properties to create a living space for several families, with an electric light dangling from the roof.
Shocked Lee, 33, closed the hatch and dialled 999. Police raced to his rented house and scrambled the force helicopter – but by the time they arrived the loft dwellers had gone.
Lee, wife Caroline and their four kids had just moved into the £500-a-month terraced home in West Bromwich, West Midlands.
He said: “I decided to have a look in the loft space and popped my head through the hatch.
“There was a light dangling from the roof and about a dozen people, men, women and a baby who started to cry when she saw me. They were eating sandwiches and just stared back at me. I was scared and shut the hatch straight away.
“The police were here within 20 minutes but the people had gone. They’d taken their mattresses and bedding but left behind a table, chairs and toys. The police think they’re illegal Kosovan immigrants but God knows where they are now – they just vanished.”
Caroline, 32, said: “Lee came in ashen-faced and said, ‘There’s a load of people living in the loft.’ I thought it was a wind-up. But it scared me to death to think we moved in with them up there.”
Previous tenant Shirley Graham, 54, said: “I’d heard babies crying but found it strange because there weren’t any babies in the terrace.
“Now I realise it was coming from the loft.
“It’s terrifying to think those people were up there right over my bedroom ceiling.”
Cops believe the fiddlers in the roof got access through an adjoining house that had been sublet.
They then scarpered after realising they had been rumbled by unemployed plumber Lee.
Police said immigration authorities had been alerted and officers were contacting the owners of the adjoining properties.

Well, I had Fat Club tonight and, even with my gain this morning, I’m down 2.5 from last Thursday! Result!
I’ve just gone and upset myself by reading a news story about a mother and 9 month old baby girl who were shot dead! The father is on trial currently. It happened in 2006 but I only just heard about it. Having just been cuddling my baby who woke up an hour or so ago, I don’t know how anyone can do something like that.
I hope he fries!
