Today’s Totals - Oct 10th, 2008

All in all a pretty good day. I chose to get up early to go in for an optional CAD class. It was optional because we have Monday off (our usual day for the class) and a few people had asked the teacher if he could find a time for us. It worked out well as I got done what I needed to do in the first hour and checked my work that needed to be handed in. I still had to change a couple of things but I’m hoping that they were changes for the better.

It was a full day though with only a quick break around noon. We did a couple of Communications classes in the afternoon and convinced the teacher to give up about 3:15 (technically this was when he should have stopped but he was aiming to go right up until 3:30. This doesn’t sound like much of a big deal but, well, last call at the college bar is usually no later than 3:45. With it being a holiday weekend we were kicked out at 4pm, although it is possible that this is the normal ‘get out’ time. The person who had the biggest problem with this today… the Communications teacher who had joined us. I think he was more concerned that we were all chatting, not so much for the drink.

Anyway, it was a lovely day so I didn’t have a problem coming home and having a swim. We’ve decided to close the pool next week (Wed) and because I have an exam next Tuesday my last swim will be Monday. At least the weather looks good for the weekend.

So I don’t have much planned for the weekend. I have my turkey in the brine overnight, and tomorrow I will get it on the BBQ to smoke. I may try to work in some bread making, a little laundry, a little homework, and a touch of studying. In fact I really only have a little math homework so that’s good for the studying. I have horrible study habits so I will probably try and avoid it all weekend. If the weather is nice there will be things to do in the garden as well. Oh yes, and since I’m off Monday as well I’ll do two sets of lifting (Sat/Mon) but I’ll probably leave the cardio until Tuesday. I have a five hour break on Tuesday and the weather looks decent enough so I’ll break it up with some walking (and take my stuff to go to the fitness center just in case).
