Weekly Weigh-in - July 7th, 2008
Today’s weigh-in brings me to 290.8 which is 2.0 pounds less than last week. I’ve been retaining water all week. Since we’re definitely not at time of the month water gain the only thing I can figure is the hot weather is affecting me. I think this happened last time we went hot and humid (sad that it’s only the second time this summer). So yesterday I made a point to drink more water and this morning I’m down 2.2 pounds from yesterday. Yes, I said since yesterday. It is strange but in the end the only way to try and get rid of retained water is to drink more. Weird, isn’t it? Anyway, since I started keeping track this is day 178 on plan with food.

Wow-you are really whuppin’ the food plan! I’m thrilled when I stay on plan for two days in a row.
GO YOU!
Well, I think some of it is because I understand how far I have to go. I know I have to get everything going well as it will get harder as I go lower. This week will be on track, but I will be eating a lot more. It’s a planned maintenance week where I’ll try to give my body at minimum the calories it needs to maintain my weight.
This likely means I will gain weight. Yikes.
If I understand (and buy into) the concept, this should make my body more willing to give up weight in the weeks following. Since I’m very near where I plateaued before it seemed like a good idea.
You put so much thought and planning into your routine, Anne, and it shows that you know what you’re doing. I’m sure you’re doing the right thing. How is the wrist? I’m way behind on everyone but it looks like it started bothering you about a week ago? Any improvement?
You’re right about the water. I read somewhere that the best way to get rid of water retention is to give your body more water so it will stop hoarding what it has.
I wish we had a 3FC get together around Louisville. That would be great!
The wrist isn’t too bad. I didn’t notice it at all today, but since I’m taking a rest/maintenance week I’m sure it will be fine. As long as I don’t commit to any heavy projects. It’s my left one so I can still saw down tree branches.
