Spring Flowers

Ask and you shall receive. I took a couple of photos this morning. fatbaby - the garden isn’t well tended yet. There’s still a lot of spring clean-up to do, but that’s okay. I’ll take pictures of the berry bushes later (perhaps with berries on them). Right now they’re mainly just sticks with a little green on them. You can click on any of the pictures to see a bigger version if you wish.

The cherry tree:

The daffodils in the back:

The side border in the front with mainly daffodils, but a few tulips coming:

And my favourite - snake head lily (fritillaria meleagris):

    Thanks :)
Although I hear that our nice warm sunny weather is going to be replaced by cool wet weather. :(

Snake lilies?! I’ve never seen them but LOVE them! Gorgeous! Now I’ll have to do a little late night garden internet shopping. I’ve never seen them in my area, how unusual!

Thank you so much for posting garden pictures! They’re all wonderful (particularly those lilies!) and gave me my Spring flower fix. I’ll reciprocate sometime with photos of my garden. Can’t wait for the berry photos!

We’re getting a cold front here too with a freeze warning for tomorrow. Darn, why did I visit nurseries 4 times this past week? Darn.

Pretty flowers! I am so jealous. I live in a duplex and I don’t really have a yard to plant in. I am forced to use pots only. Ah well :D

I love the snake lilies!!! those are just simply gorgeous and I as well have never seen them before!

My favorite flower is the porteluce (sp?) or Moss Roses….they almost resemble a catcus type plant and the baby roses are just gorgeous! I bought some flowers to place next to the steps coming up to the door…I will work on them later today or tomorrow and take some pics!

The common name used for portulaca is moss rose, and they grow well here. Although it will be three or four weeks before it’s safe to plant them here. We usually end up with some seeding into odd places - like between the sidewalk and the driveway. I’ll take some pictures of them later if they do.
