Well, the slight ache in my leg didn’t affect my workout today. The knee has a slight pain now, but no worse than it was yesterday. And only because I’m sitting with it bent at the desk. A little heat tonight will take care of that. We decided last night to feed the rest of the old (not so good) biscotti to the squirrels, so it’s on to the nice ones tonight. It’s even better with them being smaller I can probably take two most nights. Oh, and I broke down and ordered the book - New Rules of Lifting for Women, hoping that it will add some structure to my work with the weights. Other than that, there isn’t much to add tonight.

Weigh-in - March 3rd, 2008

Well, my TOM is over (what a pain) and I’m down 5 lbs even this week. I’ve actually decided to focus more on the weekly average instead of the specific number on a Monday. Since with cycles, there’s at least one bad weigh-in per month. So, the average loss since Dec is 2.48 lbs per week.

My excess exercise on Saturday has provided a nice dull ache (although minor) in my left leg.  Nothing I can say specifically hurts, so I’ll exercise today and keep an eye on it.  I ended up taking one unplanned rest day in February after overdoing it a little.  I want to make sure I can keep up with the exercise.  I don’t want to end up unable to, so I’m trying to listen to my body.  I’ve been very bad about doing that in the past, so I know I have to be more careful.  It’s just hard when you’ve always avoided exercise.  Are you making legitimate excuses or are you just trying to slack off.

Well, I’ve wasted enough time on the computer for the moment.  I should get ready and start my first 30-min walk!
