Today’s totals - Feb 7th, 2008
Exercise - 90 mins on the treadmill (1 x 60, 1 x 30), 10 mins with weights
Water - 12 cups
Food - 1876 calories (23% fat, 41% carbs, 31% protein)
Breakfast - protein shake, 3 clementines (159)
Lunch - whole wheat tortilla, mustard, smoked cdn back bacon/ham, cheese blend, roasted veggies with balsamic vinegar, apple, fruit salad (510)
Dinner - gingered pork tenderloin, broccoli/green beans, butter, salad, salad dressing (580)
Snacks - protein shake (x2), apple, fruit salad, cheese spread with rice crisps (626)
Nothing much went on today, which is why I’m only posting the daily totals. I met (and surpassed) my 7-day exercise goals. I had planned to do at least 60 mins on the treadmill each day, along with 90 mins of other exercises. No surprise that I was over on the treadmill but just met the 90 mins with the weights. In the next 7 days I want to make sure I do the toning exercises at least once. I know I have to keep shaking the routine up a bit. Although today was the first time I actually felt my knee isn’t holding up on me. A little heat and it should be okay (hopefully). I also decided that Sunday will be a rest day. I’m not dropping the exercise goals, but will meet them over 6 days.
leedareneel - thanks for the comments. The most important thing is to find food I like, and not deny myself something if I decide that I really want it. I figure that’s the best for long term success. As for the snow, it will melt. Okay, maybe not for a while, but it warmed up a little today, and it didn’t keep snowing. So that is good.
leanmoomercows - it’s actually amazing how long you can actually make excuses not to exercise. The fruit salad is a mix of canned peaches and pineapple (both store bought) with home canned sour and sweet cherries. Usually I chop up and add some dried apricots at the same time. I much prefer making fruit salad with fresh fruit, but it’s way too expensive at this time of year. Although I do sometimes throw grapes in when we have them around.
mizu - :P (not sure if that will convert, but I think you get the point). Just find something you like to do, I seem to remember that there was a pool at that gym….
