Not much going on here tonight. The snow stopped for a while only to be replaced by rain/freezing rain. I think it’s a good excuse to crawl under the covers.

leanmoomercows - yes, I wouldn’t be going out to a gym. At the moment I’d use the I can’t afford it line. I could use the ‘it is far too cold and snowy’ one as well. When it’s only a few steps away (between the desk and the couch) it’s kind of hard to ignore. ;-)

Oh dear, the snow has started…

Our forecast today is for snow, followed by ice and/or freezing rain, followed by heavy snow.  It’s been quite clear all day but I just looked up and I could barely see the back fence in the yard.  Now it’s just backed off to semi-heavy snow (not the light dusting we were supposed to get).  Oh well, it doesn’t affect my afternoon exercise plan as the treadmill is about 10 steps away from the desk!

suzeeeq -  I always find once I’m on the treadmill I enjoy it.  I saw something a while back that said all you have to do is talk yourself into a short walk and then continue.  I found that this morning.  I procrastinated until it was too late to do two 30-min sessions with a break.  Normally I’d do maybe 45 mins.  Today I set the timer for 60 minutes and decided if I wanted off with 15 mins to go then that would be okay.  I ended up doing the whole 60 minutes.  For some reason I have less trouble with a count-down instead of simply letting it count up.  I don’t think I’d maintain the food if I didn’t enjoy it.  Strangely, the food has become a habit and doesn’t seem to be as bad (ie. no real cravings to cheat).  This morning I was typing a post on the boards and I had to go look up the calorie count on my mothers chips (to compare).  I even had to undo the twist tie to read the information.  I didn’t even take a chip.  Now, that surprises me.

neverperfect - yes, aren’t they wonderful animals?  Their assistance seems to come and go.  The other one just usually likes to lay on top of my left hand (I can usually still type).  I had to actually move the ink jet printer to a shelf above the desk as Shadow would catch (and stop, then jam) the printer.  Gotto love ‘em though.
