Well, all but two portions of the (what will now be called) spicy bean soup are frozen. I ended up getting 24 servings so that’s good. I’ve got one batch of the french onion soup done as well. I’ll freeze it in the morning and start the second batch. Then no soup making for at least a week! I’m feeling a little better than I was this morning, but still feeling a little ‘off’. I did manage the third session on the treadmill, although later than I though. I went out and ran some errands in the afternoon (very cold and even snowing). I might watch this week’s ‘The Biggest Loser’ although I have to admit I tend to prefer it taped, and watched on fast forward. I can never decide if I really like the show or not. Anyway, that’s enough yakking for tonight.

Feeling very blah this morning

Okay, well, it’s almost noon. That’s what you get from pulling the covers back over your head at 8am. I’ve actually been up for a couple of hours, but I’m really not feeling all that motivated. I did bag up the soup I froze last night (11 portions) and put another 11 in to freeze. I have I think another 3 portions to go so it ended up making 25 servings. This is good as I added more vegetables and more stock as it was a pretty high 302 calories. If it does end up making the number of servings I think it will end up at 176 calories. Funny, but that’s actually lower than I wanted, but it will do. I also started making the french onion soup this morning. I have a great recipe for the crock pot. It’s nice because it actually uses butter, but since you’re cooking slow in the crock pot it’s minimal compared to making it on the stove. It only ends up making 6 servings though so I’ll probably do at least 2 lots before I’m done. I don’t want to go nuts on the soups since I don’t think I’ll likely want them much past some time in April. So 99 soups would take me until the end of April. Once the onion soup is done that will take me to 52. So when I replace the beef, barley, mushroom soup and the lentil soup I need to aim for roughly 20 servings of each. That way I don’t need to make any more soup until the fall.

God, that’s just a little nuts isn’t it? Only a little since I know that having something prepared for lunch is what stops me from making toasted cheese for lunch. That doesn’t sound too bad until you start adding it up (bread-250, cheese-200, ketchup-30). Oh yes, and that’s replacing my ( 200-300) soups. And that’s a good lunch. The other quick option would be two cheese quesadillas (probably 600), although at the moment I’ve just stopped buying the tortillas. It’s a good thing today I’ll be getting my cheese fix with french onion soup. Just figured out that it’s my highest calorie soup at 368. No matter, since it’s still more than 100 calories less than my best lunch.

This is just killing time instead of getting on the treadmill this morning. I’m really not in the mood. It doesn’t really matter as I’m going to get in the mood and do one set before lunch. If I’d started earlier I could have done two, but I think I’ve fiddled late enough that it will have to be two in the afternoon. No slacking allowed for just feeling lazy. The only acceptable reason to shorten the time would be pain, and I don’t have any. Off I go!

Weight trendsmizu - I actually did 2 x 30 minute sets and will go make lunch now. I don’t remember having that problem the last time I was really into the treadmill. I went over 4 months (5 days a week) before illness knocked me for a loop. I think I’m just pre-menopausal today. If I can attach it easily to the post I’m going to add a trend line for the past 13 days. I’m pretty sure this was common in the past, which is why I started tracking it daily this time. (Just not freaking out about the changes).
