Ok, now I’m just rambling…..

…..In other news, Matt wasn’t at home today. I missed getting to talk with him….I left him a little thank you note for the recipe he gave me last week, on a cartoon about Gordon Ramsay. :-)

 The house is in chaos, but at least we’re laughing about it. I was going to go into detail but I’m too embarrassed (just in case anyone ever does take a peek at this blog) Let’s suffice it to say the house is in some need of repair (closet and window(s). *sigh*

I am scared that my diet is out of control…. it all started this afternoon with the nachos, but then I (think) I ate way too much for supper. I made Oven Fried Chicken (had about one and a half pieces of that), but I steamed some Red Potatoes and then sauteed them with Butter, Onion, Parsley and Green Onions. YUM!!! I think I overdid it with those. I was thinking about it just as I sat down to blog, and I don’t think I ate any fruit today at all! That is probably part of my problem….. ok, that settles it, tonight I will snack on fruit.

Ugh. I remember now…I made frozen lemonade for the kids after school - I had some but with less sugar than theirs….hmmmmm…….

The Yucky truth:

Breakfast and Lunch: healthy food

Snacks: Greasy Nachos, Sugary Frozen Lemonade

Dinner: Oven Fried Chicken, probably 3 or 4 (normal person’s) servings of potatoes.

to quote the Bible….”who will deliver me from this body of death?”  Ugh.

“AAARRRGGGHHH! I’m in trouble!!!”

 I lost it!!! But I think I’ve recovered….. it’s like I’m scared to go back into the kitchen…. I came home from work….I was a little hungry when I got off work, but I had 1/2 of my Salmon Salad Sandwich left so I ate that on the way home and peacefully contemplated the innards of my fridge and freezer, trying to decide if I wanted to make a smoothie, or have some coffee when I got home….. I walked in, and the beast struck! I was hit smack between the eyes with last night’s leftover taco fixin’s! And before you know it I was loading up a man-size plate with a salivatingly deliscious array of tortilla chips, taco meat, and “AAAAaaahhhhhh…” Sharp Cheddar. I knew I was out of control but it tasted sooooo good!!! I hadn’t ate all of it (maybe 1/2) oh, yeah, I remember, I actually went to get MORE cheese! I saw my bag of Sugar Snap Peas and I grabbed them and ran in here to blog out my frustrations! I think if I stay in here long enough, the nachos sitting beside the sink will lose their appeal.

Well, as long as I’m here I’ll go ahead and log what I’ve had to eat so far today:

Breakfast: Hot Oat Bran Cereal with Blackstrap Molasses; large glass of water with lemon; coffee

Lunch: Salmon Salad (leftover salmon fillet, dijon mustard, 1 tsp. yogurt, lemon juice) on Whole Wheat with some Romaine Lettuce.

Afternoon Fiasco: Taco Meat (1 cup?) 2 crushed taco shells, Sharp Cheddar (2-3 oz.)
