Wednesday Evening Notes….

gordonramsay-gordonramsay-char.jpg   Ok, Let’s tally up and see how I did today….

Breakfast: 1 whole egg + 2 whites, 1 cup Wheat and Bran Spoon-size shredded wheat bisquits, 1 Orange.

Lunch: (on the run) 1 Banana, Kashi Cinnamon Harvest Cereal - about 1 cup.

When I got home: Tilapia fish fillet, cooked in Olive Oil.

Snack: (at King’s Kids group) nachos

Supper: Chicken Breast Fillet, cooked in Olive Oil, with sea salt and freshly ground pepper on a bed of Mixed Baby Greens and Romaine Lettuce with homemade Balsamic Vinegar and Olive Oil Dressing.

Evening Snack: Frozen Blueberries.

Drinks today: Bottled Water, Starbucks House Blend Coffee - 2 cups, and Iced Tea with Sugar.

I should have had more protein throughout the day - it’s hard to know what to grab on my way out the door. I need to plan ahead a lot more. If anyone reads this, what is your favorite low fat protein? I need ideas! :-)

Exercise today: Walked at the Community Center after work, but only for about 15 minutes - my legs started hurting and I kept thinking about getting home to watch Kitchen Nightmares. I gave in to temptation. ;-)

What I cooked for the fam: Hubby wanted leftover chili from our dinner on Sunday - that was easy enough to pull out of the freezer. Nathan (14) left and went to Grandma’s for dinner, claiming that I had “nothing good to eat” in the house. Joyce (5) went to sleep before dinner, but wanted cereal when she woke up. Both kids wanted Tigger Tails (pasta)  later in the evening.

Inspired by Gordon Ramsay!

                                     ……and my inspiration toward excellence.

First of all, it’s good to be back on this totally cool site!!! 3FC Rocks!!!

I have been away for awhile, went through a slump where I didn’t care what I ate - thank God that didn’t last too terribly long - I think it had something to do with this time of the year (winter, the holidays, getting dark early, etc.) I had some pretty bad depression - tried Prozac and felt a hundred times worse on it, so I’ve decided to try nutrition. Not to mention that I also need to lose about 60 pounds.
