I changed the name of my journal. My #1 goal in ALL of this self analysis and effort to change is to be happier and healthier. I want to stress out about stuff less. I want to smile and laugh more. I want to spend more time making memories, and hanging out with the people that I love. I absolutely want to spend less time alone shoveling food into my mouth.
Today I am staying OP. I woke up still sore from Friday night (short version - got very drunk, my friend insisted that I ride a mechanical bull, and I remember about 2 seconds of it and then landing on my face, but that’s ANOTHER story), and with my face SO swollen. I’m guessing that it’s because of the two seperate binges I had yesterday.
Summer is coming very quickly. At the end of this week, I’m going to Saskatchewan for a week to visit family. I’m so excited! Anyway, I’m going to journal out my food, and my goals, both short term and long term.
Sunday-Sunday goal: No binges. I’m not going to focus on losing, or anything. Just on having a healthy relationship with food.
Saskatchewan week: No binges. Eat as healthy as possible. Buy myself a big bunch of pretty spring flowers when I get home, but ONLY if I stick to my goal.
My food for today:
Two eggs (140)
Knorr tomato soup (200)
1 C black coffee (30?)
Two carrots
salad w/two tsp. olive oil & 10 sprays red wine salad spritzer
two bites avocado
red grapes
one apple
two strawberries
1 yogurt (90)
1% chocolate milk (160?)
I’m going grocery shopping tonight. I can’t wait to stock up on LOTS of healthy stuff. I’ve been without fruit for so long, and as usual, I’m craving it like crazy.
Now that it’s warming up, I’m going to try to go for a walk as often as possible. My YMCA membership really didn’t do me much good, since I didn’t use it
A couple ground rules:
Never replace a meal with ‘mad’ food (for instance, a pint of icecream or trail mix).
A snack should never be 200 or more calories, especially if it’s empty calories.
The end of a walk can not end in a snack of 200 or more calories.
Max calories for a day: 1,500. 95% healthy.
