1st Quarter - Week 10 - Day 7 August 31, 2008

Eeeekkk! This week has sucked! I’m trying to get into the swing of school and homework and quizes and tests all while trying to keep the house clean and cook meals and help take care of the little baby and everything else. So the exercise slipped tremendously this week…..but it is all backon tomorrow.  Tomorrow starts a new month and a new challenge. I’m joining the Halloween challenge which starts tomorrow. My goal is to lose 16 pounds in a little over 8 weeks. Which is totally doable! After I lose this 16 lbs I will be at 220 lbs which will be a 40 lb loss!

 

I’m ready for a new start cause August sucked really really bad!!! Also, TBL starts in a couple of weeks and I’m ready for that too!!! :D

 

 

1st Quarter - Week 10 - Day 1 August 26, 2008

I wrote this yesterday (8-25-08) and forgot to publish…so here it is!!

 

 

I can’t believe that this whole 1st quarter that I have planned is almost over!!! It is 11.5 weeks long and is scheduled to end the week of Sept 11th. I’m not going to hit my goal of 222 by then, but I have come to realize that expecting to lose 3 pounds a week on a regular basis is not a realistic goal. I mean don’t get me wrong….It could happen; however, some weeks I may lose 1-2 pounds instead. Some weeks i may not lose any. I think i set this big ole goal here and when i wasn’t losing 3 lbs a week I got discouraged and slacked off for about 3 weeks….BUT I have decided that is okay. I’m going to take some breaks from time to time….now they probably won’t last 3 weeks, but they may last 1-2…who knows. All I know is that i have come to realize in time if I stick to this plan I will eventually get to where I’m gonna go. It really doesn’t have to happen in 52 weeks. Of course that would be great, but it probably won’t happen. I didn’t gain it all that fast…so I’m not gonna lose it all that fast. The main realization I have come to is that i have lost 24 pounds  (THAT’S RIGHT I’m down 2 more pounds to 236!!!!). That is huge to me. I have lost all that weight, and I did it on my own. NO fads, NO diet pills, none of that….just counting calories and exercising. One thing I know for sure is I’m not gonna be 260 (SW) in 52 weeks….but I may not be 120 either….as long as I’m somewhere in between and making some kind of progress towards 120 then I will be happy.

 

So I weighed in today at 236. 2 more lbs down! I’m so excited. I’m almost halfway through the 230’s! One more pound to go until I reach the 25 lb loss mark! I really feel like once I get to 220’s things will be a little easier for me. For some reason being above 230 is so discouraging…but once I hit 229…it won’t be long till I’m at 220 and then I only have 20 lbs to go till ONEderland! That number seems so much smaller and acheivable than the 60 lb loss I needed when I started! I guess it really is better to set smaller goals!!! :D

Today’s activity -

I know I walked at least a mile if not more at school…LOL

 

Today’s food -

Breakfast - Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwich - 300

Snack - Banana - 120

Lunch - Tuna sandwich, 1 oz chips, 100 calorie pack - 363

Snack - Tuna and crackers - 153

Supper - Spaghetti - 500

Total calories - 1466

 

1st Quarter - Week 9 - Day 7 August 25, 2008

Sorry…I’m writing this late! I know i said no excuses….I did really good this day and all…but school started today and last night I was making sure I had everything together (books, notebooks, backpack, ID, wallet, lunch, etc) and got to changing some classes around and just forgot to post!!!!

 

Sorry….that may happen a bit now that I’m in school…LOL! Here is yesterday’s info!

 

Activity - Very brisk walk 1.5 miles

Food -

Breakfast - Bacon, Sausage, Cheese Omlet with toast and chocolate cream pie yogurt (fat free) - 290

Snack - NONE DUE TO SPLURGE DAY AT LUNCH

Lunch - The best Chinese i have ever eaten (it has been a while…LOL) - not sure on the calories I will say 1500????

Snack - NONE

Supper - 4 oz chicken, mashed potatoes, pinto beans - 400 calories

 

Total - Probably close to around 2200 who knows with the Chinese food…could be over shooting though??

 

 

 

1st Quarter - Week 9 - Day 6 August 23, 2008

WOW! Such a great Saturday! It has went by fast, but I have done so good today. Last night before going to bed I sooooo wanted to go eat the left over pizza in the fridge, but something told me to go weigh before I did that. So, I go weigh, and I’m still at 239! I lose weight over night and by the time I #1 and #2 in the morning….so I knew that I better not have that last little treat that I didn’t need….and it paid off! I weighed in at 238 this morning!!!! I’m so excited that I’m finally back on track and losing weight again. That was just what I needed! And it has helped me today. I have been on track with my food and exercise today, and I feel soooo good! I’m hoping that I can lose 3 more pounds by the end of the month (8 more days). I think it is completely possible. I would be at 235 then and only need to lose 5 more pounds to be at a total loss of 30 lbs! I can’t wait to see the 220’s. I think when I get there I’m just gonna feel sooooo close to ONEderland! I mean come on its just 20 lbs…I can do that!!! Right??? I mean by the time I hit 220 I will have already lost 40 lbs! I just can’t wait. I feel so strong!

Today’s exercise:

30 min treadmill (1.98 miles day 3 of couch to 5K week 3)

15 min elliptical trainer (total miles for the day was 3.11)

15-20 minutes of strength training with arms.

Today’s food:

Breakfast - Jimmy Dean Delights sandwich - 300

Snack - 1/2 banana and 1 cup of milk - 150

Lunch - Turkey and cheese sandwich with 1/2 oz chips and white choc. strawberries yogurt - 405

Snack - 1/2 grilled cheese sandwich with 1/2 oz chips and popsicle - 165

Supper - Chicken patty, pinto beans, creamed potatoes, and rice krispy treat - 450

Total calories - 1470

 

1st Quarter - Week 9 - Day 5 August 22, 2008

Well, today was a great day! I ate on plan all day long! I got to meet up with an old high school buddy. She is having a baby and she came by to borrow some books and visit! On the other hand I didn’t get to exercise again today!!!! I went to the gym and couldn’t get in. The key pad wouldn’t take my password…apparently something got struck by lightening or something and wasn’t working! Oh well…as long as I get three days of exercise in this week I will be happy, and I only have to get one more day in to get 3 days….so I will probably get in 4 days. Next week I’m going to try to get fully back into my work outs…this week I have been trying to get back on track with my food….so far so good!

I’m already down a pound back down to 239

Food:

Breakfast: Egg sandwich with 1/2 oz chips - 220

Snack - 1/2 banana with 1/2 cup milk - 110

Lunch - 2 corndogs with mustard - 360

Snack - peanut butter and crackers with milk - 300

Supper - Lemon pepper fish, white beans, okra, 100 calorie pack of cookies - 400

Calories - 1390

 

1st Quarter - Week 9 - Day 4

Hey…forgot to blog last night so I will add it in today. I was trying to find a tutorial on how to do a good sexy smokey eyeshadow on you tube and I started finding all these really good make up techniques by this one chick. Then I noticed she had a myspace so I checked it out…..LOL! I’m weird I know. But she is so good and if I could put my make up on like that I would feel like a million bucks!!! And look like it too! Oh well…I can’t afford the make up or the tools she uses….so I’m gonna try to do it on my own with just what I have.

 

Anyways….so today went pretty good at first….Breakfast…Lunch….Snacks….but I didn’t have a plan for dinner so while I was trying to decide I did some snacking. I haven’t been planning my meals for a while. I have just been swinging it sort of. I have to plan next weeks meals today and get to the grocery store to ensure I have everything I need.

 

I also didn’t exercise today. BAD BAD girl! But today is a new day and I’m gonna do my 30 day shred and day 3 of couch to 5 K….maybe some strength training too! See you tonight.

 

1st Quarter - Week 9 - Day 3 August 20, 2008

Today has really been the first good day I have had in a long time. I ate completely as I should today AND I exercised! It was a little difficult. I really wanted a Dr. Pepper. I really wanted to go out to eat, but I wouldn’t let myself. My calories were dead on today! I did day 2 of week 3 of the Couch to 5K. I felt soooo STRONG AND POWERFUL! I took my MP3 player, and it made the jogging so much easier. I just jogged to the beat of the music and focused on my breathing. It was really much easier than yesterday. AND I ended up doing 1.84 miles in 30 minutes. That is only .16 miles away from doing 2 miles in 30 minutes. How awesome would that be! That is 4 miles in one hour! It won’t be long and I will be there. I bet week 4 is gonna kick my butt though. Well….I’m gonna try not to weigh tomorrow, but I can’t make any promises.

Today’s exercise:

1.89 miles (I know it isn’t much but after I do this jog I’m pooped and can’t keep going…LOL! I’m gonna start trying to put some stuff at the beginning of the day. But this was almost 300 calories burned).

Today’s food:

Breakfast- Bacon sandwich and blueberry yogurt - 280 calories

Lunch - 2 hotdogs with chips - 375 calories

Snack - Rice crispey square with 1 cup of milk - 190 calories

Supper - Grilled chicken, white beans, corn, 100 calorie pack of cookies, 1 cup of milk - 470 calories

Total calories - 1315 calories of 1500 calories (wow that is pretty good to go along with my almost 300 calories burnt in exercise!)

 

1st Quarter - Week 9 - Day 2 August 19, 2008

Not a complete loss today if I say so myself. I did get some workouts in today. My daughter went to the baby sitters so that helped; however, my food intake wasn’t great at all!!! I went and had lunch with a friend and instead of opting for a salad or a grilled chicken sandwich or something I ate a cheeseburger and fries. It was good too!!! And I washed it down with a dr. pepper! YUM!!! LOL! I was trying to be supportive though…she is fixing to be going through a divorce that looks like it could get UGLY! She is holding up well though. I also did some shopping today…I got some super cute outfits for church and they really look good on me! I was so excited! In fact, it motivated me to get my booty to the gym and work out! So I did! I did week 3 day 1 of couch to 5K! It was the hardest week by far. I struggled with it a little today but I’m hoping that tomorrow is a bit easier. The main problems I had were keepin my pants up…LOL….and my left food hurts alot….I don’t know what is up with it but it always freakin’ bothers me!!

So, tomorrow I’m gonna start trying to plan out 13 weeks of meals (I know it is gonna be hard but I bet I can reuse some weeks). I’m going to be doing the biggest loser challenge and I dont’ want any excuses for the food to go wrong…so I’m gonna take into account NOW what am I gonna fix to take to lunch with me…what kinds of quick dinners can I make and what is something easy my hubby can whip up for supper on the nights I have school. We will see. Who knows….I just want to plan now cause you know what I say….If you fail to plan you plan to fail!!! LOL!

1st Quarter - Week 9 - Day 1

Okay! So, the day was going great! I had breakfast. I worked out. I had a salad for lunch, and I even skipped the croutons! The salad wasn’t very good. Then the afternoon snack hit. I had the worst craving for a grilled cheese for some reason, but I had already eaten a huge apple (trying to be good). Then I thought to myself, “Look! A grilled cheese sandwich isn’t that bad, and if you don’t give in to your cravings just a little bit, then you will go on a binge!” So, I decided to make a grilled cheese sandwich and half it with my daughter. I thought, “Perfect! I will get the taste of the grilled cheese like I want, but I don’t have to go overboard and eat the whole thing!” So, I had my half of the grilled cheese, but while it was cooking i had 3 peanut butter and crackers. After the sandwich, I had several BBQ chips, and I had a pudding snack pack that my daughter and I split.  URRRRGGGG! I felt horrible. I felt so fat and so bloated and full! I decided I wouldn’t eat any supper, but I did! I had shrimp scampi with linguini. It was good. I just don’t know what happened. I was doing so well.

Well….today (day 2) it’s just me. I don’t have my daughter today. She is at the baby sitters. So, I’m gonna try to be a good girl today. I’m gonna try to clean a bit, exercise, watch what I eat, and most importantly plan for my biggest loser contest. I would like to plan 13 weeks of meals. I know it sounds a bit much, but school starts next week, and I’m afraid if I get busy with school I will use it as an excuse not to do right and plan my meals!

We will see how it goes!

 

1Quarter - Week 8 - Day 7 August 17, 2008

I’m a bad blogger..I know! I will spank myself later…LOL!! I’m also being really bad when it comes to food/exercise too! Tomorrow starts week freakin’ 9 already!!! Okay, I gotta look at it like this…I started out at 260…I got out of the 260’s, I flew past the 250’s, and I sneaked out of the 240’s. There is no doubt in my mind that if I would get back in this and stick to it that I could make my way through the 230’s as well and next thing you know be in the 220’s!!!!!! Oh I want that so badly! AND I KNOW I CAN GET IT! I deserve it!

So…..its on in week nine! For real….I have two weeks left in August so no more playin’! I gotta get with itif I’m gonna lose any weight in August at all! So its back to 1400-1500 calories tomorrow….its back to walkin’ and exercisin’ tomorrow! It is on!

 

I’m also working on a new workout routine that involves more strength training at the gym….I will let you know when I’m done getting it together and I start doing it. I hope to have it done and start doing it by Sept. I will probably do it for the biggest loser challenge that I’m signing up for!
