Oh Yeah! Cause IT’s FRIDAY!!!
When your a single Mother of 4 kids you never know what to expect. This morning I walk out my front door to find a pair of my UNDERWEAR lying in my front yard. WTH??? I don’t even wanna know what the panty bandit might have planned to have done with them. Of course they all deny touching them.
We FINALLY got some much needed rain. We hadn’t had any in about 3 weeks. I had a few tomato plants bite the dust. I watered them, but they don’t like tap water like they do rain water. We got some sprinkles and my flowers- or what is left of them- look so happy. The only plants that are were doing any good are my moss roses and my cactus! Kentucky weather! Sheesh!
Food yesterday was okay considering that I went out to eat. My meal was a grilled tilapia with a side salad and tomato slices. What hurt me was the kids ordered bacon cheese fries and I ate some. Overall I still came in under my calorie count to maintain my weight so that is good. Will do better today. I got 4 frowny faces on myfooddiary,com yesterday. It will add the calories you burn through exercise back onto the amount of calories that you are allowed to eat each day and yesterday I was suppose to have burned over 1000 calories!! I don’t think that is right so I try to eat about 1400 calories a day. So it gave me a frowny face for too few calories! My total calories were 1997!!! My saturated fat % was too high as was my sodium (thanks to the subway sub) and my cholesterol (thanks to the tilapia). I thought I was making such good healthy choices and then you find out they are loaded with salt and cholesterol! Oh well, something to keep in mind.
Exercise today was 50 minutes TBL strength training, 30 mins Power yoga, and 40 mins Crunch boot camp. That’s right ladies, 2 full hours of sweat! Yay for me!! Plus I was watching an 18 month old and a 14 month old at the time so I should get extra bonus for that. My Mom babysits them everyday, but today was grandparents day at my kids school so I watched them so that she and my Dad could go eat with the kids. The babies were so funny. I forgot how exciting it is to try to workout with little kids! I laid out my yoga mat and they took it from me. (You know the toddler law that says everything belongs to them!) and when I was doing planks they would crawl under me. When I laid down they crawled on top of me. Once the littlest one threw a block at me. I had to constantly watch my weights- they wanted them, and they were constantly snagging the TV remote! It was alot of fun though. It was too cute to watch the 18 month old try top do a downward facing dog! Very sweet!!
The dizzies are all gone today! I can lay down and the room doesn’t spin!
I know that I have only been at this new way of eating for a few days now, but the way I am kicking butt working out and generally sticking to it IDK why I’m not losing weight. I have been down to 221 but the next day pop back up to 222. I would LOVE to see 220- or 219!! That would make me happy! Well I am going to hang tough with this. I know these things take time. On a positive note (and I always try to be positive for the most part) My legs already look better and I think my stomach is a tad smaller! I am going to do my measurements tomorrow so that I can keep track of what I am losing. It always helps to do that once a month because then you have proof that your body is really changing-even if the scale isn’t moving as fast as you like.
Has anyone ever heard of or tried the “flat belly diet?” It is supported by prevention and is suppose to be 91% effective. I was looking in the miror and for the most part most of my body looks okay. Its my gut that is so huge (apple shape). I would really like to lose the majority of my weight there. So I read a girls blog and she was doing the falt belly diet and having some success. I looked it up and there is a book coming out through Prevention in late October. But the author already wrote a book called the flat belly diet that came out in January. Prevention picked up on it and now is printing their own version. So I am thinking of buying the first version. Just wondering if anyone had heard anything about it.
Well off to go clean up some.

I heard about that book - some ladies at my moonlightin’ gig went on some flat belly diet from a book at the bookstore and supposedly lost a lot of weight. no starch, no sugar - some shit like that I think.
Let me know when you find out some more.
In the meanwhile, I’ll keep trying to suck it in.
