Chasing away Chubby

A new schedule, a new life!?!

My last day at work was friday. It was heartwrenching. I have been there for nearly 10 years. It was a long time. Most the time in life the “lasts” pass by without much merriment, without much notice. No one bothers to notice the last iem you change your babies diaper or the last time you walk through a doorway. So Friday I tried to pay attention to the lasts. the last timeI walked through a door, the last time I hugged a student. I went around and told my classroom good-bye. There was barely anything that I had not put where it was. That classroom was my creation and I had to let it go. It was hard.

So today was a new schedule and in many ways a new life. I got up put the oldest 3 kids on the bus and wen t back to bed with DS4. I set the alarm for 8 AM, but slept on until 9 when DS4 got up. Then iIput the dishes in the washer, threw some clothes in the washer and took DS4 over to Mom’s so I could walk which quickly turned into a run. I ran 2 miles! I haven’t ran in 2 months probably. THe mind is an incredible thing. Even though at times my calves and hamstrings were screaming, and my new shoes were hurting my second toe. I just told myself to keep going anfd I did it. Proof that running is 90% in your head…10% is your body. I ran the 2 miles stopped after I got back to Mom’s and walked for several minutes to slow my heart rate down. (It was at 97%!) Now I am home telling you ladies about my success.

It’s a beautiful day in KY. The sky is a deep blue with a scattering of white puffy clouds. The trees are still in bloom with white flowers and everything is lush and green. It’s the kind of day that you are thankful to be alive.

The rest of the day I plan on #1 doing some yard work. I have some plants that need to be planted and then back to housework. i also have to read a chapter and a half for class tonight. We are having a quiz over them tonight. :(

Yesterday was fun. Me and BF spent alot of “Quality time” together since we will only get to see each other once during the week now that my classes are at night. I think he is gonna miss me. We took DS16, neice 15, and neice13 to Lexington where we went shoe shoping at the mall. i bought myself a pair of Asics gel nimba 9 running shoes. They felt great in the store but are hurting my second toe for some reason. I probably just need to break them in. They are silver, sky blue, navy blue, on white. They were $100 on sale. Then I bought a pair of Nike Dart VI running shoes just to wear around. (I like my tennis shoes. I prefer comfort to fashion anyday.) They are pink and silver and really cute. The store was having a BOGO 50% off sale so I got them for $27.00. Gotta love that! Plus if the asics keep hurting I could always try the Nike’s…though I really prefer Asics to anything else for running. DS16 bought some sort of skatershoes. Then BF bought a new pair of steel toe boots for work. The neices picked up some stuff along the way. We ran all over the mall! I was worn out. Then we went to Logan’s Roadhouse to eat, and DID have a salad, but also had a steak and a loaded baked potato. I don’t think it was too damaging though as my weight was still 215 this morning and the only other thing I ate was a MvDonald’s Fruit and Walnut Salad for breakfast.

Today I have ate nothing. I am not hungry yet, and would prefer to not eat until the kids get home from school. It’s so weird but when I am at work I wanna eat as soon as I get up, and when I am home I kind of forget about food until I am really hungry. I think this jobless thing will be good for my weight loss.

Well ladies off to fatbet to record my weight. Hope everyone else is doing well. I will try to get back later to comment!
