Chasing away Chubby

Within my house I have….4 kids, one dog, 2 cats, a goldfish, 2 crabs, and a mouse.   Guess which was not invited.  If you guessed crabs you are wrong…but that would have made for a much more interesting post!     :lol:   I have a mouse. a tiny, disgusting, little furry creature running around in my kitchen.  For the record, I hate mice.  This is the first winter since I lived here that the furry buggars found their way into my humble abode.  We had 2 about a month ago, but they stayed in the boys room.  It forced the boys to clean their room and I got them both fairly quickly with the assistance of the mouse trap.   However, we didn’t get them before they made a nasty mess in  one of the boys drawers.  Gosh, I REALLY hate mice.

I saw the new inhabitant yesterday.  It ran across the kitchen counter and I screamed.  So we cleaned the counter and set the trps.  We stayed at BF’s house last night, so when i finally made it home at 8:00 PM this evening, i checked and no mouse.  Dang!  So i checked my kitchen counter and found mouse droppings and felt like puking.  So I went through all my cabinets to ensure it was not chewing into the food in there, and put everything in freezer bags to better protect it from the mouse’s sharp little teeth.  I threw out anything that had been opened (like chips) with the top folded down.  I am taking no chances on that little buggar getting in and out of the open bags. I put down new liners in the cabinets and re-organized everything.  Then I wiped down the counters again.  This time spending extra time sanitizing everything.   I found mouse poop under all the appliances!  Who knew something so small could poop so much.  It is a vile little creature!  Usually I am an animal lover, but I can’t wait til it’s dead! 

 The weather is suppose to be warmer this week which means I am back to running. I can’t wait!
